2011 Floor Mats

Hello! I just bought my first 4Runner, a 2011 SR5 w/ 3rd row. While I did add some accessories that I thought were necessary i.e. front end masking (I have Blizzard Pearl), ScotchGuard on the seats (kids), running boards ($250 w/labor), body side molding ($500 w/labor), tinted the two remaining windows ($100), and extended warranty (my dealer gave me 125,000 for $1800), I held out on the floor mats. Now I'm realizing that living in Colorado with the snow and dirt I need them. My dealer says that he can get me four of them for $130 - is this reasonable? And are the factory ones any better/worse than Husky Liners or any other brand that is out there? Just thought I would pick some brains before I purchased anything. I have some cheapo Target ones that are fine just not great. Thanks for any input:) Cheers and happy driving!

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW 4R!

The OEM mats are cloth/carpet and the Husky's are rubber/plastic all-weather.

I got the 4-set OEM mats for $90 from my dealer.

And the husky weather beaters for like $125 on Amazon.

When you order the Husky mats, you'll have to get the 2010 version because they don't make 2011 yet. They fit perfectly though.

I got a 2011 T4R last week and found a set of Husky weatherbeaters on ebay and got them for $123 shipped. I live in Wisconsin and like the Husky's a lot better than the Weathertech mats I had in my Blazer. Like 4Robber said, the '10 mats will fit a '11.
 
Floor mats redux

I bought my 5th gen SR5 a month ago and looked for floor mat advice as well. I went with the Weathertechs as I'd had good luck with them in the prior 4th gen. The Huskies feel a bit plasticky for me. I had the truck in all kinds of snow before Xmas and they were just great, had plenty of absorption for two adults and two kids skiing in heavy snowfall.
 
I just got a set of weathertechs a few weeks ago. I really love em, especially how the fronts cover the door sills, the dead pedal, and way up high on the sides and back. I payed right around $300 for a full set of "digital fit" including the rear cargo liner, and I would do it again.
 
Got the weathertech floor mats couple of weeks ago. Paid $79.99 just for the front seats. They are awesome! They catch nearly everything.
 
I can ditto JasonCz, Santa brought me a full set of Weathertechs and I think it is money well spent, for Mr. Claus I mean.
 
there's a thread on this for the 5th gens and the husky-liners, and the general consensus is that the husky's are the nicest out there for the 5th gen. check it out- they look great!
 
I have the Huskys front and rear. +1 for fit. I love them, they will most likely stay in year round.
 
Huskys

I have Husky front, back, and cargo. They are great. Per the earlier post there are many pictures of them on other threads in the forum.
 
Wow - thanks guys for all the feedback. From the looks of it the Husky mats are pretty durable and nice looking. I don't know if I'm ready to drop $300 on the mats though. My "Santa" isn't that generous:) This is a great forum! Now I know where to come for all my questions. Cheers and stay warm - it was a balmy 9 degrees today in Colorado.

Hey guys...

We don't get any snow here where I'm from but we do have rainy seasons. And when it rains here, it can pour.

Is there a difference in material between the Weathertech All Weather and the Digital fit mats? or is it just their fit and coverage?

I own a 2000 SR5 with a stick shift and 165K miles and love it. Had an ice accident a couple of years ago, ricocheting off guard rails on both sides doing a 360 and ending up going forward in 2nd and drove the rest of the say home although we are still feeling the effects on icy roads today. We had it repaired and still running fine today.

Worst problem in this vehicle is the cd/tape deck which reacts to road vibrations and skips. Do I have to replace the entire system?

2nd problem is what do I do, after this vehicle gives out, if I want a 4R with a manual gear shift?

regarding your cd/tape deck. If it's an old one, it probably doesn't have that buffer or memory built in, which is why it skips when you hit a bump. The newer cd players don't skip anymore, unless you really hit a huge bump. I'd say you can probably find a cheap cd player off crutchfield
