2011 SR5 has lots of rust on frame !

All the welds are rusty and edges of frame is showing rust already !
If I don't do something soon this vehicle could be on it's way to become another Toyota rust bucket ! Not Happy ! Always garage kept and always kept salt spray washed off from cinder trucks. Vehicle has only 47K mi

They have rust on the frame when new. Look around for threads on that subject.

Spend some time under it knocking the rust off and then paint the frame. After painted, treat it with FluidFilm.

It's not significant rust. It's just surface rust.
I work in structural steel, and my clients store unpainted structural steel outdoors prior to fabrication. It looks rusty as hell, but it's just a surface rust. It's removed easily as step one of the fabrication procedure.
If it bothers you, hit it with a wire brush and touch it up with some paint.

I undercoat my vehicles, and they look jet black underneath. Your mechanic will love you for it (no he won't)

Walk around any dealership. You will see rust on EVERY truck. Was at a gm dealer few weeks ago and rust all over springs and frame.

It is just surface rust but it bothers me, you would think that everything Toyota went through with frame underbody rust that they would treat the undercarriage with something to keep rust at bay. It would be cheaper than buying vehicles back and replacing rotted frames.

There is a big difference between surface rust and a rotting frame. Like others have said take a metal brush and remove it and spray over it with a anti rust type of paint. A lot of different products are available.
