2011 to TRDPRO front end conversion with parts list!

So about 5 years ago I did a trail conversion on my pearl white SR5. Then Ive been itching to get the new muscular front end. Finally its done and here is the parts list for 2014 conversion. Pretty self explanatory as far as installation goes, remove the old and slap on the new parts. This will benefit those with metal bumpers that have OEM bumpers collecting dust and those who want to upgrade to the new front end.

parts A,E,F,I AND J, I purchased from someone with a TRDPRO who went with a proline metal bumper. purchase price for this was $500 to give you guys an idea.

The OEM headlights I purchased from ebay for $250shipped and Part D from ebay for $99 shipped. parts X and Y are dust cap for the headlights.

the rest of the parts i purchased from https://toyotaonlineparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com this was the cheapest place I found parts listed for.

The fender liner I purchased from ebay for about $100 for both, you can cut your OEM to save some money.

my total cost for this was about $1,100 give or take a few dollars.

TIPS: buy used! lots of people now have metal bumpers with OEM bumpers and brackets laying around. search ebay for parts. DM me for questions or message me on IG @coconut4runner for quicker response. :cheers:

Sweet conversion, but I still prefer your original swap to pre-2014 Trail. Any interest in selling your 2011 Trail front and rear bumpers?

I bought a used trdpro front bumper so it came with that piece already. I added the part number and link for it incase anyone needs it.

This is awesome. I love the look of the new TRD Pros, but want the features of my limited. May have to tackle this if ii find a Pro bumper for a decent price. What did you end up doing with the lower amber DRLs from your original bumper? Is it obsolete after the conversion? Also, are the new headlights just plug and play with the original harness?

the DRL from my old bumper goes up next to the headlight and becomes my DRL and signal lights. The new headlights are not plug play as far as the harness goes because the actual headlight housing comes with a little little harness that attaches to the h11 bulb but the other end of it which attaches to the vehicle isn't h11. Im not sure what it is but the easiest way around this is to either splice it or get a HID kit which most people are already doing.

Love the conversion! Can this be done from 2011 sr5 to the new trd pro look or would I have to convert it to the TE version first as you did?

Thinking of doing this but don't want to start the conversion and have to back track.

I'm a huge fan of the way your 4Runner turned out. I own an '11 Limited in blizzard pearl. I've grown tired of the front end, and I was wondering if you know if the conversion from Limited to TRD Pro would go similarly?

The Limited also seems to have plastic cladding under the doors as well....so not sure how it would look compared to yours. Thanks!

I am a brand new T4R owner so excuse my noobiness.

I have a question....

Are these two pieces removable? Do I have to order the whole bumper aka part A in the picture (52119-35914)? Ideally, I want to replace just the silver piece in the picture but without the license plate bracket with a black version.

What about the rear piece? Do people typically just get both of the above painted black or what?

You'll have to cut some holes in your bumper for the tabs, but they are marked on the inside of the bumper, so it's pretty easy. You'll also need some retainer clips (part# 75392-35220) - you need 29 or 31 - I don't remember exactly.
