Hey I was just reading something in motor trend saying that toyota will be offering their new entune HU in as an option in all 4runners for 2012. I wonder if it would be possible to have this head unit installed in a 2010 SR5?

No, the Entune headunits withOUT nav have a seperate module from the factory. With Nav, it is a seperage xm module and receiver.

I'm a little disappointed, but oh well. On my window sticker, which I kept, it states Entunes. Little did I know, it was false advertising. :( :gun5:

Mr. John,

Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

We appreciate the opportunity to address your inquiry.

We researched your Vehicle Identification Number, XXX, and determined it does not have Entune. Entune is a standard feature on the vehicle. However, if you elect the NV - navigation option package, which your vehicle has, this conflicts with the Entune option. Therefore, your vehicle does not have Entune.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us via email or by calling 800-331-4331. We are available from 5 AM to 6 PM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday and from 7 AM to 4 PM, Pacific Time, on Saturdays.

I am unable to register my vehicle with Entune on the Entune website. I have a 2012 4Runner Limited which I bought brand new, and the car sticker indicated I had Entune. My VIN is XXX. Was this false advertising and I do not have Entune or is there a problem with the Entune registration website. Thank you.

I really thought I wanted Entune in my LE but after looking at it I was not impressed. First, smaller screen, plus the Entune I was told was not voice activated in regards to the Navigation system. I don't need apps I have a smart phone. The screen angle on the Entune in the Tacoma was un readable with sunglasses on and the daylight made the screen unviewable.
