We Americans love our reality shows and celeb's. Obama's coolness can trump most anything with a bunch of voters, add those to those who get a government or union company paycheck, gays, minorities and those who hate Republicans...

The truth of the matter is that the President really doesn't have the end all be all power over policy and this whole process is to give commom men the "feeling" of being the decision makers. We vote for the lesser of the evils every 4 years and pretend that each guy is gonna change things. This whole system needs to be changed.
The winner is the best liar in my opinion, cuz very little of the things stated come to fruition on a local, state or a national level.
I stay informed, have CNN on from morning to night and read local news online at work too. I believe in keeping current, but won't lie to myself about either of these guys actually keeping their word. Not now or 4 yrs from now or 4 or 4 or 4 or 4 from that. They're all cut from the same cloth in my opinion.

I kind of face palmed when I first saw his quote saying he didn't know what the purpose of public land was. Although, I haven't looked into it in any great detail, he may have been taken out of context.

I was grinning ear to ear watching Obama struggle and look so defeated at the end. It shouldn't be a surprise that this guy can't speak. Without a teleprompter (even with it) he is a bumbling fool.
So Biden admitted that Obama is going to raise the "rich people's" taxes by 1 trillion dollars. After crunching the numbers, my middle class salary will be taxed by an additional $1,250/year if Barry gets in again. That will do wonders for the job market. Just what I want to do: work my backside off to be Robin Hood. Yeah, I am very fortunate to have many luxuries in life, but I worked very hard for these items. That means forfeiting weekends and working 12-16 hours per day. Why should I be penalized for hard work ethic? It seems like the new American dream is to take whatever entitlements the government offers.

I think it's OK within reason. I think we should keep a certain amount untouched as a strategic reserve.
