2013 4Runner from Autotrader

Unless I'm mistaken the only similarity is the Knob
LE still has:
Wheels/Tires
XREAS
Dual climate
A better looking interior (even if both have leather)
Keyless entry (which is more than meets the eye)
Ya get what ya want, I think "We" get really fixated on price on this Forum.

The base SR5 has keyless entry, if you mean smart key then yeah that is a cool a option.

Good find with the first pics of the changes for 2013 !
However, you said there are two major changes and it seems there are actually three looking at that MSRP listed at $40,980. That's about the msrp price a bare bones Limited 4x4 used to be. That's got to be an inflated msrp with a bunch of dealer add ons or something!

My 2012 sr5 with premium pkg and third row had a sticker price of $42,469 !!

Yes, that is what I was referring to. Along with the Push Button Start/magic doors and Lock/Unlock on the back hatch - it is a pretty robust feature.

Yeah I wish this feature was available on lower trims... Jeep has this as part of the E-Package which makes it much more available on lower trim levels.

My wife has it on her highlander. It's cool, but a little overrated IMO. I decided this when she let her keyfob battery die and had no other way to start the car.:ybrick:

How often does the battery die though? I would just buy some extras and have them on hand.

Sorry if I misunderstood; if the battery dies on the smartkey fob, you can hold you fob close to the start button and the vehicle will detect the key.

I would hope so... the Corvette going back to 2005 had a slot in the glovebox where you could insert your fob in the event the battery died to still get the push button start to activate.

Looks like prices just going up.
MSRP on my SR5 with leather, third row, running boards, floor mats was $38,083 back in 2011. My packages are: FE, DJ, CP, TI, R8, CF.
jreask, do you have entunes on your 2012 model?

I live in Laake Havasu where this picture was taken. I bought my last 2 new Toyotas from that dealer. I drove by there yesterday. They currently have around 8-10 new 4runners in stock. More than I have ever seen there. I have only ever seen 2 trail editions at this dealer. I would have thought I would have seen more since we are in the middle of the desert with unlimited off roading in the area. The problem with this dealer is that there are no other Toyota dealers within 3-4 hours so there is no competion. We are a small city of 50,000 in the middle of the desert. You either have to go 3 hours to Phoenix, Flagstaff, Palm Springs or Las Vegas to find another dealer.

2012 sr5 rear view mirror

I am considering upgrading from a 2010 4runner sr5 to a 2012 sr5. I have installed an onstar mirror in my 2010. Does the 2012 s5r interior rear view mirror offer any function (such as a back up picture) or is it plain like my orginal 2010? Onstars cannot not be installed in vehicles that already have vehicles with mirrors that have functions in them. Thanks much guys!

2013 Air pump

A new thing the 13 has is the air pump "smog pump" is what some people call it. It sits in front of the air box. When you shut off the engine it has a turbine whine down noise.
