2013 FJ Bilsteins on a 3rd gen?

I have been able to put my hands on a set of almost new rear 2013 FJ Bilstein Shocks Model # 48510-OW060. I'm curious to will they fit and ride quality. From what I have been able to find is mostly they run them on the 4th gens, but not a whole lot of info on the 3rds......Any info is appreciated

I am looking to combine them with a set of OME Landcruiser springs i won at a local wheelers auction (still trying to determine if they are 851's or 861's). I have A CBI rear bumper and swing out on the way and looking to prepare the rear end for the added weight.

Unsure about the ride quality but I think they'll at least fit.

But id imagine running 851 or 861s you would want a longer shock then those probably are.

I know rear fj cruiser 5100 and 4th 5th gen 4runner shocks fit on 3rd gen 4runner. Aka by toytec long travel shocks.

i know [MENTION=53470]Rockdawg84[/MENTION] is running kings with a new bolt pattern drilled up top. i think they would fit. you have to switch over your top hat so the bolts line up correctly. but measure the length with your old shocks.

Good call - need to look into the lenght and compare it to my current +3" OME's

I need to see if i can find eyelet to bolt lenght for the 5100 & 5125's That may help solve the question at hand.

I am running king shocks from a FJ Cruiser in the rear and they fit great. I will say that they are valved a little stiff for a 3rd gen but I will fix that when they are ready for a rebuild. As for the billies they will fit but my guess is that they will also be valved a little stiff but not horrible. if the price is right I would go for it.

Sonorab steel said that the 5100 don't have to change anything they bolt right on the 3rd gen. The eye is correct size also how ever with 5100 you need extended bump stops and maybe extended brake line.

Thanks for the clarification. The valving doesn't seem any heavier than the OME's I'm currently running. The price is right so I may grab them to see what they do. What spring set are you running?

Im running land cruiser 8 wraps. got about 5 inches of lift out of them. that is with no rear bumper or spare tire.

I did not do extended bump stops or brake lines. if I jumped the truck it might need an extended brake line but for daily driving and rock crawling it gets tight but not bad and the stock bump stops hit before the shocks are totally compressed. ymmv

But if u get 5100 long travel you will probably need toytec superflex coils
