You know, I'm not sure yet, to be honest. I started this year thinking I was going to buy an FJ60 or FJ62 Land Cruiser, but it's very hard to find one in decent shape, without a million miles on it. I had actually bought one, but backed out after inspection turned up substantial rust.
That left me thinking I would buy new (and take more time finding an old '60), as I do need a truck. I turned to the Tundra but, sorry, it just doesn't do a damn thing for me. Had it come with a diesel, I'd have ordered a Crewmax already. The other alternative was/is the Ram EcoDiesel, but I've owned one Chrysler in my life and swore I'd never own another. I know, time changes things, and the Rams are damn fine trucks, but I'm forever leery. After testing the Touareg TDI, I was again led astray, thinking I'd found what I was looking for, but it just wasn't right, not enough truck in it, even though it can tow 7,700 lbs.
Somehow, everything so far in the 4R is answering the call. So, yes, that's a long way of saying you might very well be right. Even though I have a new vehicle every week, and can, therefore, get by without my own vehicle, there's another part of me that needs my own truck.
