2014 4Runner

2014 trail edition/SR5 colors:
Barcelona Red Metallic
Black
Classic Silver Metallic
Magnetic Gray Metallic
Nautical Blue Pearl
Super White

2014 Limited adds:
Attitude Black
Blizzard Pearl

I've always liked black on vehicles. However, I wanted a white TE since they came out. Of course with the new front end, magnetic gray or black may be the way to go.

What does attitude black look like?

I'm not certain about the difference between black and attitude black. Attitude black has a metallic flake in it. It is currently on the Camry. Does the current 4Runner in black have a metallic flake?

I just noticed the pull-strap for the rear liftgate.

anyone here think it will be easily possible to retrofit the new taillights on the 10-13 runners even if it probably won't be the same connector?

^^I recently saw that tailgate pull strap on this 2013 model sitting in the showroom, I wonder if all the 2013 models have it?

Regarding the tail light swap, I'm just guessing here but I think it seems like it should be a straight bolt on swap? The body panels seem to look exactly the same...as far as the electrical connectors, your guess is as good as mine.

They all do unless my 2013 SR5 is special. For the record the only option it has is the sport cloth seating. So my guess would be it is standard for 2013.

Interesting, so it's still not automatic.. One of the few things the wife doesn't like on the truck.

Antman - Next mod, lift gate pull strap :bravo:

HA! I'm more inclined to line mine with foam padding so I don't keep hitting my bald head!
phillyd2 will tell ya. I really need new struts due to my ladder. A short midget could reach my hatch to pull it down.

They are called LITTLE PEOPLE!!! :biggrin1:

Common courtesy dictates that when calling somebody a short midget, don't rub salt in it by @ mentioning him. One of these days he may just jump up to punch you in the good knee :bravo:

What are you guys thinking about discounts on 2013s vs full price on the 2014s, specifically the Trail?
I stopped into a dealer over the weekend, (they weren't opened yet) and they had at least a dozen 4Runners on the lot and 3 of them were Trails (and one of them in the color and spec I want). I would assume they would be itching to get the 2013s off the lot considering the "new" models were introduced.
I am one of the people who likes the 2014, but I also like my $$$ a bit better.
I could live with the 2013 knowing I got a discount, but if not I think I will wait for the 14 and gain the upgrades.
Has anyone reported getting discounts off a '13 Trail yet?

There's a '13 Trail KDSS NAV on the lot here that was $2k off the actual sticker price. Not sure if it was a demo.

Does it seem strange to anyone that this much time has passed since the reveal and we havent seen a finalized version of any trim? Makes me wonder if Toyota is looking at feedback and making tweaks?

When do you all think we will see SR5, Limited?

The trims have been finalized in word form (they have pretty well described what it will look like). We just haven't seen the glamour shots.

Well my guess is that the new taillights will come with another wiring since the LED assembly will probably fixed in the light, as a normal brake light is removable.

Well. After a quick research on google, it seems that the 2009-up tacoma LED tail lights direct fits older models. Maybe we will get lucky and ours will be bolt-on :). I really don't feel like doing wiring and connector modifications after paying 500$ for a pair of lights

I got mine for about $100 over dealer invoice, not MSRP. I'm sure if you wait, better deals will be available as the 2014s are showing up on the lot. But Trails are much harder to find than SR5s or Limiteds.
