Just found this video on YouTube. It appears toyota did a press event for the 4runner recently so I'm sure there will be more videos to come. It shows a silver Trail edition which makes those silver faux skid plates hardly noticeable. It also shows another red Trail model with a sunroof, which the one we've seen so far did not have. Check it out.

I finally got to see what the tail lights look like when they are on and IMO they look awesome.

Toyota had a series of specific goals in mind for the trim of each grade of the 2014 4Runner.

For the entry-level SR5 they sought to maintain the same MSRP while improving the value and adding new standard items such as 13CY Entune Audio Plus, a backup camera, projector headlights, a power seat for the driver, a leather steering wheel and new 17″ wheels.

The goal for the 2014 4Runner Trail was to reposition the Trail with a lower MSRP while keeping the same off-road equipment. The MSRP for each model has not yet been released but will be available shortly.

The goal for the 2014 4Runner Limited was to add premium features such as Entune Premium JBL audio, front and rear parking assist sonar, a ventilated driver and passenger seat with memory and much more.

On all models, Toyota has made changes to the frame that contribute to the overall vehicle stability, made brake hoses more rigid to optimize brake feel, enhances trailer sway control and taken steps to enhance interior quiet.

We’ll have more to share on the experience of driving both the 4Runner and the Tundra but, for now, here are a few images from the Preview Event.

I think I like the Limited in white better (I'm biased, though) -- the darker color makes the chrome really stand out. In a way, though, it reminds me of the 3rd Gen's chrome bumper.

To be honest... that large chrome bumper on the bottom is just plain hideous... I do not understand modern car designers obsession with chrome; other than light trim pieces it just looks bad on modern cars, they don't have the lines or unsafe features older cars had that really made that chrome pop. The plastic fantastic world of modern cars does no favors for excessive chrome; unless you're into that Hot Wheels look...

Kinda disappointed in the looks of the TE, I was thinking it would look tougher, like the '10-13' TE's did. But maybe in white or black it would look better. Found this picture on a different thread, looks good.

That's a nice picture, shop'd or not I like it. The only thing I would say they should change is to get rid of that god awful foglight design; its intrusive and doesn't flow with their exterior design. They should replace the foglight with a LED bar like they did on the XB's if they want that gill looking section.

Otherwise, the color, shine, and trimmings look pretty cool.

While I am not fond of the new aesthetics, this peaks my interest as to the level of difference this will make. This is the first posting I've seen tells me Toyota was listening to some of concerns expressed here and in the press concerning early reported handling issues.

While I've never wanted a black vehicle due to the heat and the need to always wash them, it look nice to me. However, it is just a photo, not the real thing. Unless they come out sooner, I'll see it at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Anybody here going to that show? The best time to go is at the start of opening day - no crowds, so you can spend way more time with each vehicle, and can sometimes speak with manufacturer representatives, not just models.

Even the though the front end changes have not grown on me (although the TE looks pretty good in silver), I'd buy one in a heartbeat. If I was in the market. I'm fan of the 4Runner, and there's no competition. We picked up a new Jetta Sportwagen yesterday for my wife, the dealer also sold Ram trucks, so I decided to give them a look. Good grief, I (we) have VERY little to complain about when it comes to fit / finish / features, especially for the price!

Another thing happened while I was looking at the new trucks. I started talking to a guy that was in love with a new Power Wagon. Right away I noticed a missed stitch in the seat, and a cracked piece of plastic on the dash. I asked him if he thought that was acceptable on a truck with this kind of sticker price, and he said "it's a truck". Then I started wondering if most american truck buyers felt that way. I couldn't see paying that kind of money for sub par workmanship.

Wow, the LE looks sick in black! That big chrome bumper accent has to go though.

The only change mentioned so far was the black paint on the inside of the wheel.

I like the idea of offering a lower MSRP Trail and the improvements on stability, brake and interior noise.

Just had a little revelation - I'm a single man with a plethora of time to think of such things, so I've noticed: it looks like a headlight retrofit is possible. The headlight shape is similar enough that I bet you could change headlights, the grille surround, and add a Shrockworks bumper with custom headlight filler trim pieces to make it all fit.
