I think the DRLs you see at the inner position of the headlights are your high beams as well...I doubt they are going to go through the trouble of making bi-xenon halogen projectors, lol.

The DRLs seem to be the type where they just under drive the high beam lamps at a lower voltage.

eddie's right, I've read those are halogen projectors. My mind is already at work pondering what I could do to them.

If there is no low range on the Limited there is no sense owning it.
You may as well drive a Rav4 or Highlander. I would not even consider it without low range. I am ready to buy this year but I want memory seats, auto temp, auto lights, full time 4x4 etc. No low range in a limited will force me to go to Jeep.

? I'd want it without 4 wheel drive, as I have no need for it, and would not want the extra parts, extra weight, extra cost, and lower fuel mileage.

The writer of that article is incorrect. The transfer case is unchanged.

To each there own. A 2 wheel drive 4runner would be useless to me. I off road all over the western deserts and mountains.

If you're nit pickin' over a mpg difference in fuel, you've got the wrong vehicle. I hear Ford makes a wonderful little hybrid CUV that thinks its a truck.

Sorry couldn't resist, see so many fuel mileage threads complaining about a mpg or two it makes you jaded.

True the difference in mpg has to be quite large to make a significant dollar impact, even for somebody such as me who averages 23,000 miles per year. However, the extra parts add potential for expensive repairs, and make other repairs more complex, and the extra weight hurts cornering and braking.

I'm confused on how this is a 6th Gen if it's still the same chassis set up, same engine, and overall just some upgrades to creature comforts. The Trail model looks great all else aside.

If you are very concerned about the "bottom dollar", then you are leaving out the added benefit of better resale for a 4wd vehicle. The additional upfront cost is easily recouped in the end.

The difference in fuel and maintenance costs between a 2wd and 4wd 4runner are negligible compared to the resale and popularity when you decide to sell it.

For the purposes of this thread, does 2WD vs 4WD matter? The '10-13 has both (except for the TE). Same with the '14. Everyone is happy.

That blue is fantastic. The Limited is slowly growing on me (I.e. I don't dry heave when I look at it now), but the white TE is where my money would be. Still waiting to see it, though!
