I'm 30 and I feel old watching these. They need to give one to the xoverland guys to do some marketing with.

yeah, the 10-13 Trail roof rails were a couple inches + higher than the standard SR5/Limited roof rails, accounting for the difference. now that Toyota's standardized a single roof rack across the entire 4Runner line, it's odd that they're still saying the Trail is taller. maybe they neglected to update the spec.

Toyota specs sheet had many mistakes over the time, so that gets the first vote.

Now that the SR5 and Trail share the same body and bumpers, one would expect the approach and departure angles to be the same. That's not the case according to the specs sheet, and if the sheet is right, maybe the Trail does sit 2-3 inches higher of the ground, giving it higher approach/departure angles.

Anyone know if the center body colored grill section is molded into the rest of the bumper? I'm hoping it is independent.

I noticed in this pic that the parking sensors are now body colored on the '14 model? Minor but nice improvement.

Based on the pics, I'm not a huge fan of the rear altezza lights. It only looked good on the IS300 but has now gotten old on the newer Lexus cars. A nice 35% tint/smoke on the tail lights would finish the look though, especially on a white car.

can someone enlighten me on why the LE's come with 2 different type of running boards?

what option code denotes which one? both have chrome on them but the end's are different. black end caps or tapered ends.

Depends on the region. When the 5th gen first came out, Southeast Toyota was the only one that offered running boards. The boards on the 2nd one appear to be the ones like the SE Toyota boards. The Limited also has retracting running boards as an option. Neither of these appear to be the self retracting boards.

Doing a run to Arkansas today and spotted this TE non premium at a dealership. The white looks great. It's very white, no cream color at all in it. These really do look awesome in person. I still felt like it would need a leveling kit or just lifted. Wheels look great. Interior is sharp. Glad they got rid of the grey consoles. This one was cloth and it looked good.

Body colored and on both the front and rear bumpers. Limited only, though. With the '10-13, it was the SR5 with rear sensors and none on the Limited.

The white Trail reminds me of my 4th-gen Sport Edition, especially with the factory running boards.
