2014 4Runner

too bad they don't make cloth heated seats. I love them in my 2010 legacy.

but I can accept the trade off of having leather heated and vented seats in the new 4runner. I hate having a moist back on long drives :)

Well if you wanted to you could always get wet okole neoprene seat covers with the seat heater inserts. Get the heat in the winter and still have good water resistance without the sweatiness and stickiness leather can create.

I noticed in the photos of the 2014 4runner that the back does not say anymore SR5 or limited, ....or am i mistaken ? what year did this start ? why was this done? just wondering...

I had no intention of giving anyone shit MR. Light Ranger, though thank you for your participation lol

It was a serious question. I didn't realize that, that was an option.

chitown4x4 is that an east coast option or in all 2014's?

Gotcha. I thought you were just giving him crap for being soft or something.

Heated wipers and mirrors came on my 2013 SR5. Bought in the Bay Area. Looking forward to not having to chip ice off the mirrors this winter, and roll down my window in a blizzard to slap the accumulated ice/slush off the driver's side wiper.

trail premium

I stopped by the dealer last Friday and saw this 2014 trail premium.
It looks better in person.

I think it's lame that you cannot choose not to have the sliding rear cargo tray and the automatic running boards with third row seat.
I was just messing around on the Toyota website and find is asinine that you HAVE to have one or the other....:mmph:

When I first saw the picture of the front end in first photo I thought it was a suv in the back of the lot by the body shop area with the front end removed after a collision.

thats funny cause using my zip code, sliding tray doesnt even show up as a package or part of a package for all 5 models.

but then again i went thru the dealer and special ordered via the dealer allocation and got mine with just the 50 state emission package and the following accessories : rigid running boards, all weather mats, exhaust tip, paint protection (since the nearest 3M dealer is 561 miles away).

'14 Limited

Went to a Cabelas to outfit my son. Dropped of my wish list at a Toyota dealership across the road. While in Cabelas got a call from a salesman that a '14 LE was just being unloaded. Mag grey, black interior, "no third row"and "no sliding cargo deck", mudguards, exhaust tip. Exactly what I wanted. Perfect timing. Traded in my blizzard white '10 LE (45K) on the spot, $3400 off MSRP and 29K trade. She is a real beauty or was before this weekend at hunting camp. No tinny sounding horn and the doors seem a lot more solid not hollow sounding like the '10 LE. Much improved interior. Not happy with the Bridgestone Dueler H/T's. Need to research more to see if there are any other options. Some dealer sites listed in their specs 7.5 " rims, not sure about mine. $189 dealer installed crossbars. Black alloy wheels are sharp. Numerous items added, changed, improved. Very pleased.

What you can build online is not necessarily the real option packages. That is just what you'd expect to find on the dealer lot in your area.

I noticed so far that the buyers of the 2014 4runners so far had only mentioned haggling with the dealer over price. does that mean buying online is not that great a way to buy vehicles ? I was thinking of going through Nation Direct. thanks for advice...

Not a '14 Runner but I saw a transport truck carrying Toyotas and on the back was a new FJ with '14 Trail wheels yesterday.

Grabbed a loaded 2014 Trail Premium w/ heated seats, nav, KDSS Today. 41500 out the door including TTL. How does that price sound to you guys?

I bought the same truck. I am having remote start added. I got the same, about $3400 off MSRP. I think that is close to Invoice. I got 30k trade on my 2011 LE w/o Nav. I only had 13k miles on it though...working from home keeps the miles low. Mine started making a whining noise last night when I turn it off (some fan/pump on passenger side front spinning down). I posed a video of it on the issues thread.

Here it is again

Nice truck

edmonds.com will give you invoice pricing with actual sales in your area. I paid 41k (pre TTL) for a 4x2 LE with remote start/running boards/cross bars/cargo net/mud guards and no 3rd row or deck.

Good news!

A local customer of ours is having his 2014 delivered tomorrow. Just a matter of time before we get cracking on making revisions to accommodate the 2014 models and make sure that you can get them armored up just the same.
