How much is that Prado in the background of your picture? Did you inquire by chance?

Those seats look like the Perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated. I think that's what the look like in a GX I test drove a year ago or so. I don't think thats the Softex. But, I could be wrong.

I've never seen a Limited with 18"s

Different packaging for different countries. Looks like no smart key or JBL in that Limited, but it has the dual zone auto AC.

Oh I totally agree about the extended test drive, but the dealer looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked for one. Rental wasn't an option either. Last thing I want is to realize a week later that it's hurting me.

I'm amazed no one else has commented on the 2014's seat. I do not have back issues, no injuries or surgeries, but I immediately thought that it didn't feel quite right. Not only that, but that potentially it could be a long-term problem. It seems like the hard spot, whether it's caused by the lumbar support or whatever, was positioned maybe an inch or two too high to work for me.

I'm curious to hear other people's assessments of the 2014 seat, especially in Limited trim.

I just took delivery of a 2014 SR5 Premium. The back of the driver's seat is unacceptable. The fixed lower lumbar is too prominent and the lumbar adjustment is of no help. While I think the seat is is very firm, the problem is more the shape or contour of the seat. Also, the seat is small, especially the front to back dimension. I will be working with the dealer to deveop a solution short of trading a new vehicle, which I suspect will be to reconstruct the seat back, The advice to take an extended test drive is asolutely correct. Wish I had read it before writing the check.

Saw my first 2014 in person last night. Local dealer in Syracuse, Ny has a SR5 Premium in silver. I have to agree with as others have said, they look better in person than the photograph. Really digging the new look now...

for those who are new to the 4runner scene like me and who has been hesitant about the looks of the front area of either the sr5 or Trail. there may be some 'fixes" depending on your taste which I'm sure has been proposed already by another poster before.. More specifically, the gaping mouth can be remedied several ways:
1.) cover the painted horizontal 'bar' just right below the front toyota logo with a chrome insert. this is exactly what was done with the 2014 limited. here is an older example: http://www.carid.com/images/cci/grilles/gi-12.jpg

Is this only for leather and softex?? Or also cloth???

Mine is softex, which is part of theSR5 Premium package. I have sat in, but not driven, a 2014 base SR5 with cloth. Although the lower, fixed lumbar felt almost as uncomfortable as mine, the cloth seat felt generally more comfortable, better cushioned. I have now sat in several 2013 and earlier SR5's and Limiteds and all their driver's seat were noticably better.

I was able to stop by the dealership and quickly compare the 2013 vs 2014 to see what the big fuss was about. There was only one 2014 Limited on the lot and a few remaining 2013s. I only test drove the 2014 but sat in both. Although the changes weren't major, the interior of the 2014 is much nicer than 2013 in my opinion. On the Limited, I wish there was more wood trim in the center console area. The piece above the glove compartment and shifter knob felt lacking without center console and perhaps door handle wrapped in faux wood to complete the interior. I also wish they would just replace the silver bezel around the navigation with black like a lot of the other Toyota models. I must say that the new Redwood color leather after a while looks pretty nice. It was much better looking and feeling compared to the bland beige interior. The perforated leather of the 2014 feels softer/nicer. It also had a matching color armrest so that was a nice addition. On the 2013 with beige interior, the armrest is black which looks a little out of place.

Only snapped a few camera phone pics. White 2013 SR5 and Black 2014 Limited. Magnetic Gray with Redwood would look awesome IMO.
