Just browsing through the interior of the 2014 and it's a lot better than 10-13 has anyone done or looking to swap all the plastic from the 2014? I'm interested in the clock and all the plastic trim from the center console to the door trim.

Seems like quite a few folks don't like the silver-painted plastic pieces in the 10-13s. The jury is still out on whether the painted metallic grey will be more durable.

If my silver pieces looked bad, I would pull them off & paint them myself. Gotta be a bunch cheaper than buying new pieces from Toyota.

I am in the process of removing all silver parts right now and I am going to carbon fiber wrap them.... someone else here did it I think

I have not looked at the pricing, but I have a feeling that the parts will be very expensive. You would probably be better off seeing how the carbon wraps go for other members......or just trading for a 14!

I really don't like the carbon look. I've checked the price on years before 2014 it's a little up there. Anyone with a 2014 srs care to post a photo of the interior at night.

Limited interior.....

I know for a fact that you can't buy just the trim from the doors.. You have to purchase the entire door panel, which is expensive... Unless you want to of course.

Man really???? Damn that blows. Thanks for the photo sir!

The door panels come as complete assemblies, the cost to switch the interior from a '14 would be easily thousands of dollars, possibly tens of thousands depending on if brackets and clips all meshed properly. Not to mention I believe the '14 has slightly different interior components such a instrument cluster and such, which would require new modules that may or may not play well with the rest of the vehicle.

In short, you'd be better off just getting a '14 and enjoying the new headlamps and taillamps as well.

You, too, can make your screen say TRD, or anything else for that matter, even naked pics of the girlfriend. "Settings" allows you to add your own "screen off" and start up image. Couple of threads on it here somewhere, with properly sized jpgs included. It's fussy, but easily done via the USB port.
