There is no specific sub forum for electronics…so posting this in general discussion.
Has anyone taken out the Factory JBL sub in the 2014 Limited. JBL Etune setup and measured the T/S parameters...or maybe gotten a JBL model number on the back of the factory sub woofer…
Was wondering what the T/S parameters are for the sub driver and the enclosure volume
Searched all over the forum ( mostly 4th gen installs came up) and found tons of installs but no one with the Actual T/S parameters of the factory sub
Im am bass head lol and looking for more low end range.
I am looking to possible upgrade the JBL with a much better driver as most have done but need the T/S parameters to model the sub performance against other higher end brand speakers. I use hi end drivers such as, Scan-Speak, vifa, morel hifi for non sub woofer Fq ranges. So they are not your standard car audio drivers you see such as JL audio, Kicker,ect and are not comparable to the driver I have seen other owners install.
With TB speakers covering sub woofer ranges.

I have used TB speakers with great success in both home audio and in car audio and with a LVE ( long vent enclosure) and sealed with multiple driver arrays. Where one gets greater db and low extension comparable to much larger drivers.
THE TBW8-1363sb-8 have a very large mounting depth at 5.27 so may not fit in the sub slot…
Plan is to install new sub in factory enclosure with amp feed from factory JBL ( sub channel) hi out puts with a remote base control knob for the new sub amp and replace the from door 6x9 with something that has a bit more power handling and excursion. And then start replacing the dash doors and hatch drivers.
one other option it to sneak of the factory hi put put leads ( still running the factory sub) and install a set of these ( with independent amp and gain control) under the factory front seats...
