2014 Tail Light Condensation

I purchase my T4R toward the end of Nov 2013, before I took possession, I did a quick walk around and saw both tail lights had condensation in them. I walked back inside, got the salesman and showed him. He immediately got the service manager to show him.....long story short, 2 new tail lights were ordered and installed on their dollar.
I haven't had any issues again with condensation.

No dice

Picked up my 14 4Runner SR5 in December 2013. Condensation in tail light and head light. Brought it up at first service, showed pics, emailed to service manager for him to forward on to Toyota Corporate.

Toyota claims the tail lights are vented and denied resolution.

Anyone seen the mythical vents?

They told me the same for the tail lights. I have noticed that the only time that it happened was when it was cold out.

I noticed 1 morning that our 2014 Limited's driver side headlight was completely full of moisture which was really weird since it's parked inside it has been dry for over a week. I've dried it out with a blow dryer and left it over night and it was fine in the morning.Took it for a 15min trip to the store and it was completely full of condensation again!!
I guess a trip back to the dealer, just a couple weeks after i had a fog light replaced due to it cracking 2 days after i received it with zero sign of impact.

WTF is going on with these Toyota lights??

I just noticed condensation in the drivers side rear light assembly on my three week old 2015 TE. I didn't give it much thought at the time, but now, reading your posts, I guess I'd better have a closer look.

Seem like a common problem with those lights.

Did anyone bother reading my write-up for a fix? Been through a winter, spring, summer and now fall with the fix, no condensation has been seen again, and takes only 30 min. Why even go to the dealer and losing time for a fix that won't work, just buy 5$ removable stop draft and seal the gaskets!? This is a pretty minor and easy-to-fix problem...

Bought my '14 TEP in March. I think it was August when I noticed condensation in my driver's side tail light. Dealer changed it out under warranty. Now, after a week or two of rainy weather, I'm noticing condensation in both tail lights. If Toyota says that they're vented, will it alleviate itself or is this something that will get worse over time? Should I keep submitting warranty claims?

It goes away.
As a side note, I kinda like my condescending condensation of the the tail lights on my '15. It's only there every now and then, it goes away after a bit and every time it comes back it has different amounts and shapes! Makes mine unique. Seriously, if I had big water droplets in there I would be worried but the small amount does not hinder performance of the tail light in the least and does not cause any damage. If it gets worse I will get them fixed but for now it's fine.

Just noticed both of my rear tails have condensation. Coincidentally it was right after I picked it up for the first 5k inspection, dealer failed to notice/mention it.

I have the same problem in my 2013, and I did something very much like this to fix mine also.

I have opened a case with Toyota and they say they have heard of the problem but do not yet have a fix.

They will replace the tails. Some guys have reported no issues after the switch. Mine are waiting at the dealership.
