Hi,

Im pretty new here and been posting and gathering some intel and info on a close at hand purchace..

After alot of reading and several questions to you folks Im leaning towards a TE KDSS...I wont be doing any offroading..just NYC Jungle..and wont be replacing any suspension parts..As I posted in some other threads I want a firmer less floaty ride and it seems the KDSS system addresses that pretty well..I will test drive one asap and see for myself.

My questions are though...is it me or does the Toyota website blow?

I cant get a good description on the packages or standard features..I want the full premium package..with KDSS and NAV

Does it come with moonroof?
Does it have a/c adapter in rear seat area?

My freind owns a Toyota dealership so id get it pretty much for coast.
im figuring 37k ish? or am I off?

Thanks!

The Toyota website blows chunks. Part of the problem is that it has been optimized for tablets as opposed to laptops/pc's, but even fully functional with a tablet it blows....

Does it come with moonroof? YES, only premium TE's do for 2014
Does it have a/c adapter in rear seat area? All 4Runner models come standard with a 120V outlet in rear cargo area and two additional 12V outlets in second row seating area.

My freind owns a Toyota dealership so id get it pretty much for coast.
im figuring 37k ish? or am I off? For a premium this is pretty good

Thanks!

Recommend a Limited for city driving and trips to the shore and mountains. I test drove a 2013 TE and LE back to back on two occasions. The LE was tighter than the TE. The TE was more off road capable. Don't know whether the 2014s are different.

Be sure to try both.

I only test drove the KDSS. It drives great on the road. Very little body roll

This! When a guy whose daily driver is a heavily modded Audi S4 and he compliments a lifted TE on it's road manners that says something.

+1

I drove the TE and LE. I do very little off roading and the LE was the right fit for me. I found the LE noticably tighter than the TE. I honestly can't believe how well it corners for a decent size SUV.

My TE Premium has a moonroof, nav, AC plug, slide out tray

depends on where you live, and what you order... for example, if you plug in 90210 in the zip code for the toyota website, it sohuld give you the option of KDSS with or without a sliding tray, other zip codes do not give you the option between the 2, and some zip codes don't even have KDSS... best bet is to find one at a dealership and go see it for yourself... Mine has all of the above minus the slide out tray... keep going back and forth on if I should purchase it separately though...
