Also I have the same issue where the projector isnt centered within the shroud. Only noticeable if you look really close though.

These were TYC headlamps. I didn't want her to not have a vehicle to drive for 3+ weeks so I just went ahead and bought spares. I'm going to sell the old ones. They're basically brand new looking.

All done!!!! These things impress the SH*T out of me! I mean, they're better than my mini H1's and my D2S 3.0's.

I did make a slight mistake upon installation but I kind of like the outcome. I installed washers in order to point the projectors inward because I thought they were pointing outwards. If any of that makes sense. So in some pictures it looks like the projectors are not aligned and some that looks like there is only one on. This is not true they're both working properly. I may break them back open and remove the washer from the projectors. I'm not sure.

I hope you guys like them! She loves them.

.... but more importantly, you've given up a bit of beam width. One of the great benefits of proper HID projectors is the improved spread.
Whether that's worth a do-over? ......

I agree I agree.
Good points but if it doesn't bother her then I'm not gonna break them apart. But if I drive it too often it'll bother me and I'll break them apart. It wouldn't take long. I'd just have to be careful with the glue.

I want to do another set. I may if I can find a set of IS350 Projectors on eBay.

I believe it's the 06-10 IS250/350. They have the AFS system. They're auto focusing headlamps. I purchased another pair on ebay for another pair! If anyone's interested. Got them at a good price.

As soon as I posted the pictures of the cutoff, I realized I didn't post pictures of the running lights. Just to be clear, these come on all the time. As long as the ignition is on. Then when it's turned off they stay on for 15-20 seconds. They look mean!

I have the new projectors on the way, so if you'd like, PM me and tell me what you want and I'll give you a price quote. But if you wanna tackle this yourself, then I'm here to walk ya through it. It's not as hard as it looks. Just takes time and patience.

Just put in my order for STI lenses and new butyl glue from The Retrofit Source. My headlamps were getting bad condensation, so that's my excuse to pick up the new lenses. :naughty:

How are you enjoying your lights? Any updates/complaints/tweaks?

I upgraded her LEDs to the Switchback 3.0's off the retrofit source. She loves them! I actually had problems with the acme LED strips I got from them and they refunded me everything I spent on them. Which is awesome. That's why I love them! I'm I'm the process of doing another set for a customer. Other than that, no complaints.

I have them and you'd never be able to tell they're not factory HIDs. There is no comparison between the OEM halogen set up and a good HID retrofit...it's night and day difference.

The difference is I'm not charging $1200 for a set of those headlights. Yes, they do just about exactly what I do, but for the low end, no lens etch, no demon eyes or even LEDs, they're $1200. I put the LED strips in for "no charge" if you want to call it that. I can't imagine they get much business. At that price, I'd rather try to tackle a set of these myself even if I didn't know what I was doing. And that's why I made this thread.

Mine have gone from $900-$1100. Depending on what you want. That's bulbs, harness, DRL LEDs and new headlights. Seems that Kustom 54 is a little money hungry.

Here are photos of my cutoff. Exact same retrofit using IS350 projectors, clear lens upgrade and tuning.

Morimoto 35w ballast with Osram nightbreaker bulbs. Will be replacing bulb and ballast with 45w hylux and Osram CBI's soon for more output

Kudos to OP for this thread and taking this on. Been fun to follow.
