2017 4Runner Colors (Let's speculate...)

Ah GST.. even harder to get a KDSS equipped rig there than it is in the SE territory.

I'm excited to see what the Gen6 ends up being..and if it's the wonderful vehicle we all hope it'll be I'll be ready for one on the 2nd to last year of its production.

Still, it does feel nice to have the last year of the Trail.

Right but if a person wants to obtain a 2016 from a dealer in the next couple of months there will be several available is what I'm getting at.

When we have a customer come in saying they want to "order" something we don't technically order it. We just get it from the incoming allocation.

Yes that sounds accurate. When I 'ordered' my TEP 3 weeks ago it arrived in 10 days with a build date of 07/16 and it showed up at my dealer on 08/19/16. I placed the order on 08/09/16.

I'm assuming that it hadn't been sitting very long at port before my 'order' directed this particularly optioned vehicle in my direction.

While living in Phoenix one of my concerns is the seat material. There have been many comments by desert dwellers that the syn leather is undesirable in the heat (and candidly, I have loved the cloth runner seats in my runners ever since 90). Soooo, my question is and may not be known at this point, will the TRD off road have cloth seats (like the trail, not the trail premium)?

TRD Offroad will have cloth and the TRD Offroad Premium will have softex.

Toyota hasn't posted the 2017 4runner powertrain yet on CARB website but it'll surely pop up on the site in September... high likelihood it'll be the SA5/4.0L combo we've come to love for its reliability.

Off-Roading to the Summit in a Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner

If you read that article, Motor Trend tested a 2017 prototype and notes it to have a 5AT. Same exact powertrain, for sure.

yup, but I think it also had a sunroof if you watch the video, soo... they likely just painted the 2015 inferno prototype cement.. haha... I think it'll be the same powerrain combo. I like it and want it to remain unchanged, if it's not broke don't fix it... either way, we should get confirmation later this month after the year end sales event. (The 2017 GX is up on the lexus site already)

I'm hoping that Toyota retains the MGM color for 2017 ... that's what I'm holding out for.

As a side note, I sure hope that they put a locking mechanism and/or a lever under the driver's seat for the fuel door. :pray2:
 
I just wish they'd offer Super White on the Limited. I'm not a huge fan of Blizzard Pearl... even though I know I may be the only one.

A part of me is still hoping they will bring back the inferno for the 2017 trd pro but mgm is also up there for me. Id take it in either. Im hoping they open up orders soon.
Does anyone know if there will be any special editions mid year for the trd pros that might be worth waiting for??

I promise you there will not be Inferno or MGM the colors have already been announced. There is no speculation.
 
Probably off topic for this thread, but now is the time to try and deal on T4Rs. I started looking for mine this time last year and managed to get a Limited with Redwood leather at ~$4k below MSRP. My previous interest in a T4R was sticker, no haggling. So, just an FYI.
 
It's only the time to get a deal if you don't want something specific or the dealer has exactly what you want on the lot which is..to be honest uncommon in many areas.

I wanted something very specific so I had to order..and there is less dealing on special orders.

Just curious. Where did they announce the colors for 2017. I dont see any details of this anywhere inline unless you have a different source.
