I cant find much info, but does anyone know if the tech in the 2018 has any improvements? I have a 2014 and was hoping this year was going to bring the tech inline with some of the newer stuff in the market but I cant really find any details. From pictures it doesnt look like the dash has really changed but have the updated the software at all?

What’s New for 2018?

Cavalry Blue and Midnight Black Metallic are new paint options this year, a third exterior color (Super White) is now available across the full lineup as opposed to only on TRD Pro models, and two new equipment packages join the fun for 2018, but otherwise the 4Runner carries on unchanged.

More cup holders and supercharger are added.

There’s no longer a transfer case lever or shifter. It’s all paddle shifters now. So there’s at least two more cup holder spots.

Or you can get the CVT trans with front and rear lockers on solid axles with the TRD electronic swaybar disconnects.

I have an inside source at Southeast Toyota that confirmed they are doing away with the XP package and replacing it with a region-specific "Overland" package.

It's a port installed Gobi rack and ladder, Laminix yellow fog film, TRDP grille trim, Duratracs (P metric per OEM spec), and Weathertech floor mats.
