Who is waiting on a 2023 from your dealer? I'm first on the list for a 2023 Solar Octane PRO. My dealer was already allocated a white 2023 PRO but I don't want white.

My 22' Lime Rush Pro is being delivered today. I don't care for the solar octane and wanted a Lime Rush new before they're extinct. Perhaps the solar octane would look better in person? To me, it just looks more red, which I'm not crazy about. However, I remember seeing the Lime Rush online and thinking "WHY?!" and now I have one being delivered. By far my favorite TRD Pro color.

I am. Placed my deposit for a 2023 Nautical Blue TRD ORP on Aug 18. I was told 6 months. We'll see.

My dealer was allocated four 2023 4Runners last week - one PRO, two Limiteds and one 40th Anniversary. No ORPs yet.

Congrats. I just couldn't do that color but I do think it's wild.

Anyone from the Scottsdale area? Right Toyota is listing 82 4runners as available! That includes 2022's as well as quite a few 2023's including 2022 and 2023 PROs.

I don't know what the market is like in south Florida (I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, by the way) but here in Kansas City, every unit is reserved in advance long before they are delivered and often lbefore they are even allocated (as in my case.) It's been this way here for over a year now.

The Lexus dealer in town, however, is a different story. I was considering a GX460s (the luxury cousin of the 4Runner) and in June they only had 8 on their website with three on the lot. Now, they have 27. Either production has ramped up or sales have plummeted.

Perhaps that's a sign of some change coming our way.

Yes, having been reading that more inventory has ramped up but also that the used market is in a bubble. My doubts are that dealerships are going to ease into a large invasion of inventory so their prices dont plummet.

They're only going to be able to ease so much with a lot of the independent used car sites that sell vehicles. Dealerships will have to compete against companies like Carvana, etc.

Love the 4Runner but I think I'm going to wait until next year to see if they change the look. I'll stick with mine for now.

Carvana isn't competition to anyone. They've been banned from operating in several states, subject to many lawsuits, losing money, laying employees off enmass, etc.

It doesn't look like much was changed. I just watched a YouTube dealer on what's new and it is surprising that other than the head unit there is very little that has changed from my 2015 TEP.

Since CA went bat shit crazy and will ban any new gas cars in 2035 I was looking but with the $10K markups on new cars and I only have 37K miles on mine I will keep it until I die.

Off-topic, but a comment that i read yesterday makes me laugh…….we can see distant galaxies with James Webb telescope and communicate with Voyager 1 who is in interstellar space, yet we lose cell signal in a tunnel!

I remember when the Solar Yellow Xterra was the thing and I wondered the same thing then. I mean no disrespect, just trying to understand the mindset. I will say I truly don't get the Lunar Rock thing, which has now spread to numerous other manufacturers. That color...yeah, no.

The PRO special colors are not really my bag either. The only one I would have considered was the voodoo blue but only in a non-PRO trim. I am not a fan of the black TRD rims.

Nothing now, years ago when the TRD Pro color was actually exclusive if you really liked the color, it might be worth it. However, there are no exclusive colors now, the next year you can get that color on other trims. For example you can order the lime rush color now on a 23' ORP. Unless you have to have a TRD Pro and that year's color then you are forced into buying the TRD Pro that year. I'd only do it if I loved the color now, it no longer carries any status because you can order other trims in lime rush.

A good point. Toyota also allows for an ORP to add the exhaust, roof rack and TRD wheels. I wonder how many 4Runners I see from a distance that look like a pro are actually faux PRO...like a dealership slapping on the heritage decals to make a base-model SR5 look like the 40th Anniversary Edition...
