It's really not that bad, and I also upgraded to cross drilled rotors. I would be doing a lot more damage to my ride if I were to take it off-road.
I would not consider cross drilled rotors an upgrade. you have less stopping power and are prone to stress cracks now. cross drilled should serve you fine, but i don't see any advantage.
fosheezy, what are the dimensions of your setup? tire diameter, tire weight + wheel weight?
I measured my xtra stock '99 split 3-spoke 4runner wheel to be 22.2lbs. the stock dunlop grandtrek21 weigh 39lbs.
this gives a total weight of
61.2lbs @ 31" stock per corner. .
Fo_Sheezy:
I checked a few sizes and weights on tirerack and found a 22" x 9.5" averaged about 40lbs. the recommended tire size is 285/45-22. the tire weights seemed to average 40lbs also. the tire diameter is 32"

I estimate you're adding about 18lbs to your setup and an additional 1/2" (31" vs 32" distance to the ground). or a difference of 29.4% from stock.
now, as for RonMAiden: just to compare,
a 265/75-16 Nitto TG weighs about 47lbs @ 32" dia.

A similar Bridgestone Revo weighs about 48lbs. It seems that the average weight difference for the 265/70 vs 265/75 upgrade is 7lbs. So I'm guessing you're sitting at 68.2lbs per corner. or a difference of 11.4% from stock.
compared to your rig, Fo_Sheezy has added about 18lbs @ the same diameter so that makes a difference of 11 lbs or 16%.
to put things in perspective, a 33" Wrangler MTR weighs 55lbs or a difference of 16lbs from stock. there are quite a few people running 33" muds and fosheezy's setup is very comparable. you are adding extra wear and tear to the drivetrain, but it's nothing I would worry about.
Ok, I hope i didn't offend anybody. just trying to get to the bottom of the issue with real numbers. please make any necessary corrections.
