255/100r16

I was on the hunt for some tall skinnys and found some 255/100r16 michelin xzl on ebay for 299 each. These should measure out at 36" tall x almost 10". Just throwing this out for thoughts on what it would take to get these to fit.

Just MY opinion. I would say about a 6" to 8" lift and a really ugly truck that you never drove on the road.

I had 36x10.50 super swamper TSLs on my old Bronco. They were badass. It was a much, much bigger truck with 6" of lift, though

No concern over them being "clones" made in china? 80lbs also seems like an awfully heavy tire for a 4runner

Weight is definitely the largest concern.

Maximum Speed rating on that tire is 75 MPH. You would have to run low, single digit air pressure on the trail for them to conform at all. You could run these tires at ZERO psi with beadlocks and they would still support the weight of your truck without looking flat.

The load rating per tire is 3520lbs, in line with most e-rated tires.

I wasn't too serious about these for the 4runner but I've looked off and on for a landcruiser with a blown engine I could get for super cheap. My friend is a diesel mechanic that would help me swap in a 6bt and Jonesey's offroad is working on a kit to solve all the issues you would have with a swap like this. These tires would work well with that project.
