275/65R18 on Daystar 2.5/1.5 Rub

Subbing to this for future reference. So it seems that you have to use 1.25" spidertrax spacers to clear the UCA with 275/65?

What if you run an aftermarket UCA? Could you skip the spacers? I hate spacers, most shops around me won't touch a truck with them. I have never had an issue in the past with them but it just is annoying to deal with getting turned away because I run them.

I don't think there are any UCA issues with rubbing. The rubbing I spoke about was the mud flaps and front fender liner. There are a lot of people on here that remove the flap, remove part of the front liner and cut the front bumper but I'm not doing that.

I installed the spacers because of the stance. It just looks better. Especially with stock wheels. Later when I purchase 17x8's I'll remove them. Since the spacers push the wheels out it makes the tires edge rub the mud flap. I'm not sure but I believe with 275/65-18 BFG A/T's you'll rub anyway.

I'm running 275/65/18 Goodyear Duratracs and I had to remove the front mudflap.

Then again, I'm also running a full 3/2 lift with aftermarket UCA's and Shrockworks bumper lol. It'll def rub the front fender liner so you'll need to move it forward, and possibly trim the bumper a tiny bit.

Having Spidertrax will only make you rub more at full lock.

when I had my duratracs installed with my daystar 2.5 front I had to use spidertrax to clear the UCA according the the tech at the shop. I'm not sure if it was actually touching or just too close for comfort.

my truck is odd though because others have fit this exact set up without rubbing and I have everything removed and trimmed, even the body mount chop and I still rub when I hit bumps with the wheels turned.

I would have went with 265/65R18 if I knew I'd be stuck with a rub at the end of all this. also if that size was actually available when I bought tires.

unless I get a deal on some new tires I'm going to deal with this slight rub or until I bite the bullet and throw in the Icon stage 1

Now I don't understand why I'm not having any problems rubbing. I trimmed the inner half of the mud flap off and pushed the front wheel well forward probably less than an inch. I can fit my finger in between the UCA ad the tire, too. Maybe the coopers are a little thinner or rounder on the edges and don't rub? The front has about 2" of lift between the Billy's at 1.75 and fj springs.
Who knows. Just happy it works for me.

So your running the 275 with no spider trax spacers and not rubbing?
