275/70/17 Picture request!

275/70/17 ko2's 40psi Toytec 2/1.5(saw) lift. No spacers. Front mud flaps are back on and do not rub.

Will rub on the bumper side of the front fender at full lock. Easily fixed by moving the fenders liner forward (10 minute mod with screw driver).

Love the size. No change in gas mileage but less than 1000 miles so can't say for certain. Opted for this size over the 285 for a couple reasons. 285 is about 1/2 taller and wider. That provides 1/4" more ground clearance but from what I've ready it comes with a 1-2 mpg hit in gas mileage. Also didn't want to remove my mud flaps on the front. I like the looks of the 285's but I drive a large amount of miles and the 275 was the best option for my scenario.

I've made worse decisions than these KO2s. I was surprised how badly they rubbed post alignment. Pushed the liner, and dremeled some of the lower part of the front bumper. loads of clearance now. E-rated...ride better than expected, but the hit to the gas has been noticed. I'd put it right at a gallon. Not as big of a deal these days, as my driving isn't nearly what it used to be.

We have a 2016 4R 2WD. It's my wife's daily driver and we want to lift it a little and change the tires.

toytec boss kit....traded the 275s like a month after i got them....too small went with 285's

How do you like the 1.5 Saw coils? I'm planning on doing this too because he 2" icon coils I have make the wheels look a tad bit too small

You guys do know that Cooper tire makes an C rated 275 70 17 AT3 for those that don't want the extra weight or need the E rating which you wouldn't need on a 4Runner any how. When the tires are due for replacing on wifes runner that's the new shoes its getting.

yea it was a tossup to get coopers in a 275 or 285 with stock suspension for me. I really liked the bfg aggressive looks though and went with those and took the .5 mpg hit and slightly rougher ride.

Man that looks sweet. Did you get heavier springs for the front since you have the SSO bumper? Any thing helps I got mine coming in from C4 Fabrication.

Everyone seems to go with BFG k02s 275s but there's got to be some good c rated alternatives

Just got the BFG K02 275/70s on this weekend. No rub with trail wheels and 2.5/1.5 Bilstein/Daystar lift. Love the look.

I have had good luck with the SAW coils. No complaints. The 2" lift coils from toytec resulted in too much rake for my taste. With this setup, I have 2" of rake. Looking for options to raise the front an 1" or so.

No, honestly I hadn't thought about that. I currently have 2" of rake. I'd like to raise the front 1". Maybe stiffer springs is the way to compensate for the weight? Where can you get stiffer springs that work with the trd pro front setup? Any recommendations?

If I'm right the TRD Pro front shocks are 2.5 Diameter. I ordered, but haven't installed the 6112's (also 2.5) with Eibach 700 lb springs from Wheelers Off Road. They are the same length as the springs that come with the 6112's. Should fit your TRD suspension just fine and raise the front to where you want it. I got 700 lb springs since I'll be adding the C4 Lo-Pro Bumper, winch and RCI steel engine skid. Hope that helps :thumb3:

I previously had 265 70 17 BFG Rugged Trail on the truck and they were great.

With winter coming I wanted to install new tires prior to snow hitting the gound and also sell the 265's while they still had some tread on them. I ended up going with 275 70 17 BFG All Terrains and I love the look and oddly enough they are quieter then the 265's.

So far I am very happy with them.

question (for anyone to answer):
i know the f(x) wheels are 1" wider (17"x8") than the TRD wheels (17"x7") what are the differences in the offset/backspace specs? do they poke out 1" further than the TRD wheels?

i'm adding 1.75" bilsteins and 1" cornfed spacer in the back. debating on installing spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers. i'm thinking (hoping) the stance will look similar to yours with the f(x) wheels.

Hey! Have you done your mods? Are you ridding 275 KO2 on TRD rims with Bilsteen 1.75 front and 1 cornfed aft? This is the exactly same set up I am thinking of. Any rubbing or issues?

I had 1.75"/1" with 265's on TRD wheels with spidertrax spacers and only had to trim plastic and move the fender liner forward. if running 275 without wheel spacers on the TRD wheels you should be fine with just some minor plastic trimming of the bumper cover and fender liner mod.
