275/70/17 Picture request!

higher shouldn't make a difference, everything still travels through the same arc. i wouldn't think a narrower wheel would make a difference considering the tires are the same.

it's marked green on the going bigger table so i thought i was good, guess i'll just plan on checking if i need to push the fender liner in
Yes. Higher isn’t the issue. As I stated in my previous post it is probably the fender liner. I had 275’s on my Pro without a lift without any clearance issues.

2.5 Front, 1.5 rear... 275/70/17 E rated K02s. Method MR312 17x8.5, 0 offset.

Love the ride and handles very well... Still considering going 285/70/17 with C rated K02s or the new Wildpeaks.

NICE looking rig. Mind me asking which lift kit you used? Specs?

I have a TRD Pro, which, has the fender liner mod and is 1” higher up front than the other 4Runners from the factory. I added Burtman Industries Cornfed 1.5” split spacers to the front and 1” spacers to the rear. I like the setup. No removal of the mud flaps, no rubbing at full articulation or frame cutting required. 275 BFG KO2’s.

Dude, you copied Tejas and now I'm gonna do the same. Looks great. I'll probably wait though, eibach is supposed to have a kit that will work on the fox suspension on the 20s

How are you liking the Wildpeaks a month in? I'm strongly considering these as most 275 are E load and just can't see running E load on a 4R. However, the 275/70R17 Wildpeaks outweigh many 275 tires in the E load range. Have you experienced any sluggishness compared to the Coopers?

I ran both the Coopers and Falken A/T3Ws on my Tundra. Very similar in terms of on road handling, noise, and comfort. Slight difference in economy but that was less than a 1/2 mpg for the same size tire. Of course the Tundra had much larger tires.

The biggest difference was offroad and in snow/ice. The Falkens were noticeably better in both areas and especially on winter roads. So much better traction! If you live in a winter area with snow and ice on the roads for 5-6 months of the year as I do then the Falkens are the clear winner. That goes for any mud terrain or AT tire I can think of and I have had everything from Toyos to BFGs, Nittos, Coopers, and Falkens. If you daily drive in the snow and want to have a summer set and a winter set then a studdless snow tire like Blizzaks is the only way to beat the Falken A/T3Ws IMO.

Of course I had all those on my Tundra which has all the power in the world. Has anyone tired the Falkens long term on a 4runner? Picking my first T4R up tomorrow and I needs to know.

I thought that the E rated tires would be essentially bulletproof. Then I hit a piece of debris on the highway at 70 MPH. There was a crash that happened on the other side of the highway right as I was going by, and something flew over the divider and was instantly run over by your truly. Whatever it was, it was sharp and full of fluid. The entire underside of my car was covered in something greasy after I (presumably) crushed the debris and made it pop. I could hear the air hissing out of my tire instantly, was riding on rim before I could even pull over. Left a 1/2 inch gash visible on the tread.

Did having the E rated tires save me from having the tire explode altogether? I often wonder how differently that would have gone with stock tires.

275/70/17 BFG KO2s.

I’m waiting on the Eibach as well. Then may go to 285’s.
I do think that 275’s should be fine without having to do any mods — at least it appears that way from others’ posts

Had this set up for about a month now. Tires have performed well in snow, rain and ice. So far so good.

I’m thinking about getting the falken wildpeak at3’s too since they are C rated and the ko2’s are E rated but the wildpeaks still weigh more than the ko2’s! Lol. Not sure which one to go with now. I’m guessing the wildpeaks with have a better on road ride and mpg since it’s C load even though it’s heavier?

Here is my 20 pro on scs wheels and fallen 275's slight rub on the flaps at full lock

I too am trying to decide between P-metric Wildpeak's or Toyo's in 265 or bump up to the Falken C-rated 275's. I would feel more comfortable on the rocky Rocky Mountain trails of CO with a C-rated tire. The only thing that has me hesitating is the weight of the Falken 275. Would love some feedback from someone who has been running the Wildepeak's in 275 for a while.

275s on Fuel 17x9s..

Ran 285s on last 3 Tacoma's I owned, and decided to drop down. Should have done this years ago. Best decision I've ever made. I average 17.2mpg in town, and at 68-70 on the interstate will hit 20.5 easy.
Bilstein lift. 2.5 in front, 2 in rear.

That looks epic! I just ordered 6112/5160 set up with Dobinson 1.5" coil in the rear. Looking at getting these tires, this makes me more confident in my decision.
