285/70R17 BFG KM2 Spare w/ KDSS & Cupholders

Even though older threads said it would fit I wanted to confirm before I got a full size spare so I tried it out with one of the daily use tires. It fits but with <1/4 to spare all around between the sway bar and the rear receiver. The spare does not look as big/out of place as I expected, the pictures make it appear worse then it actually looks (IMHO).

I believe in the diameter fits and is right but the issue is how wide the tire is and how low it sits. For this reason many go with a 255 with the same OD as the 285 but skinnier so it doesn't sit too low.

I'm with you. I rather go with a tucked up 255/80/17 tire than a 285 as a spare.
