--285/75/17 BFG's on Stock Height--

Just telling anyone who cares that 285/70/17's have been put on my stock '10 SR5 with no rubbing at full turn even in uneven terrain! I previously thought I read something that said otherwise... Aloha

Your rims might be wider or different offset than stock sr5's... I'll get some pics tomorrow... No rub whatsoever... Forward reverse and some tweak
 
I am running the same on my stock TE wheels with no lift. I am going out of town and won't be able to have it installed before I leave. Oh well.

Only rubs on the drivers side at full lock in reverse. Other than that, they are golden.
 
For most tires that size, it depends on your particular castor setting. No rub on mine either, until I had the castor adjusted forward towards the 4.0 setting. After that, then I got "slight" rub, full lock in reverse only. Fixed with the inner fender adjustment.

My original castor setting were in the 2.3- 2.5 range from the factory. Within factory spec's, but it caused a very "touchy" steering feel. After adjustment, I had IMHO normal steering resistance. Much easier to drive.

only if im slowing down from highway speed and turning hard on to a turnoff... other than that... super. minimal rubbing

Can we see some more pics of this setup? I wanna run it if doesn't rub to much.

To be honest, I really haven't noticed. The vehicle isn't driven much. The gas mileage on our maiden voyage really isn't a good indicator since it was loaded down with gear.

I should be getting it back from Magnaflow tomorrow, and I will be keeping track of the gas mileage after that.

they look great on stock trail. Debating if i should get the 275 so they don't rub
 
Would Spacers help or hurt?

I am planning to put spidertrax spacers in and would like to run 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country A/T's that are 32.7" tall and 11.4" wide, do you think I will have a rubbing issue at stock height and stock suspension? Will the spacers help or hurt? Thanks for any input.
