2nd Gen Rear Brakes

Anyone ever done a rear brake job on 2nd gen drum brakes? I've searched all over and found nothing.

that's what she said. Any write ups that you're aware of? Or is it pretty standard across the board as far as drum brakes go on other vehicles?

Look for write ups on any Toyota truck (4Runner, T-100, Tacoma) drum brakes. Toyota has changed very little. I did my brakes for my '87 a few years back off a write up for an '01 Tacoma. The only difference from what I remember was that the newer ones used two springs to return the parking brake bellcrank instead of 1, and the connectors for the parking brake pieces inside the drum were solid instead of using aircraft cable.

If the aircraft cable is bad, Toyota dealerships can get the new style for you for a few dollars. I had to change them on mine.
