Hi Pirate VI, Here is a pic of both rims, as you can see they look similar but they are not the same.....I liked better the V drive a matter of taste I guess

Ahh I see, I do like those drive v's better, I wish they made those in a 6 spoke though.

The V-Drive's come either black machined like mine or chrome. I like them better with 8 spokes I do not like way too open rims.

My next mod is going to be painting red the caliper's, as I saw it doing it at the shop I got my lift installed at and they removed the wheels only not calipers so is not that hard.

Just to update everyone on the lift, wheels & tires:

After ridding the runner on daily basics it feels firmer but by no mean harsh.

Even though is way taller now the ride feels pretty much the same even with the center of gravity shifted, I haven't experience much more body roll.

All around I am happy with it. Everyday it gets better. Regarding looks now when I am cruising the people turn their heads, is a good feeling though.

For anybody looking to lift their runners I would highly recommend using the CORNFED kit!! : Bigot:

Can the installation of the lift kit be pulled off by keeping the stock wheels and tires from an '07 Limited with the 18" tires or would it not look right?? I guess what I mean is: Does one need to purchase larger wheels and tires if they decide to add this type of lift to the 4R?

you can go a little smaller on the lift which would look better if you are keeping your stock tires.Cornfed has a 2/1 lift which would probably look better with stock tires than the full 2/3. I have a 2in lift in the front one to level it, and have sock tires and it looks great, although when I need new tires I will go one size up and probably add 1 inch lift to the rear as well.

The good deal with the cornfed lift kit is that you can order as you want or Taylor made to your specs.

I would advise if keeping the OEM wheel/tires not to go bigger than 1" or maybe 2" otherwise will look disproportionate!!

Sorry the pics are not good because I took them in a rush (I am not a good photographer either).

I just got back from the shop apparently the only one down here in So Florida, drove about an hour. Paid $225.00 + $99.00 for the alignment. To me is more than worth it and justified!! :bigok:

Still rubbing a bit....a lot less than without the lift. Will do some trimming tomorrow.

Husky62, I just got my cornfed kit today and now i need to find a place that will install it. You said you live in south florida, so do i, (Weston) to be exact. I dont know of a good place to install it, can you reccomend me to a good place that i can take it into for install and wont cost me a million dollars?

I think i see a problem, where is your rubber spacer between the two metal peices provided by cornfed? I think key word think u are supposed to put that part on, at least i did when i installed my 3/2 2 years ago

The truck looks great! Do you think that 20 in wheels would fit with the same set up? You mentioned that you had a little trimming to do. Where will you need to trim at? How much?
