So is that braker no longer available? That thing looks absolutely awesome and it looks like it would be perfect for a stealth bar. Looks easier to mount as well.

Man this mod has taken off!

Not that it matters even remotely. I had searched this and 120 looking for ways to mount a light bar. I kept running into the hood scoop mount and roof rack mount. None of which I liked the look of. Roof rack mounts seem to be the best way.....if you have/need a roof rack. See Dawg4runner, sickest rig on T4R.
A friend of mine who does custom fab, powdercoating, and tint told me to find a way to fill that stupid grill hole with a light bar. That was two years ago and it has been an expensive hobby ever since.
You guys and most of you girls are the best. Great information and awesome ideas.

As far as I know, he still has a few available, I used style B for the flush bumper mount, but he also has stealth style A which would be like ARK's design

Just wanted to say thanks for this awesome idea! Lightbars have gotten so cheap that I couldn't refuse this one. I got a cheap $40 32 inch off Amazon and it is wayyyyyy bright enough.

I dont have a front plate but I have the front hitch receiver which goes in the same location as the lights. It prevented me from having a bar go all the way across. Decided to do two 10" either side of it. Turned out great. Would recommend to go for it. I went with Black Oak lights. Very pleased with them. Seem very well built, quality wiring harnice included, packed and shipped fast and safely. They offer an optional wiring harnice which joins the two lights to one harnice and switch so they can be truned on in unison. Could have built my own harnice but the price was resonable enough that I would recommend that as well.

I wouldn't change a thing. I was planning on just removing my front plate. But after seeing it at night, thats not necessary. It looks awesome because it gives the appearance that it is 2 separate bars, but the you can't tell from the light output and that confuses me haha As in, there isn't any break in the light that you would think the plate would create. Keep in mind, that's a $40 lightbar from amazon and I would never want anything brighter.

I don't have any shots from inside at night but I'll take one and post it. Obviously it's not gonna be as bright or throw light as far as a rigid industries.....but paying $800 for a lightbar doesn't make sense to me when I could get a million of the one I got for the same price.

actually i had my light bar behind the grill for almost 9 months. 1 plenty of light is in fact blocked mostly the floor part of the lights. I ended up moving the light bar forward this week and removing the grill and my god much better. far more light now

Thats what i figured. I didn't mean it wasn't blocking alot of light, I'm sure it is. What i meant was that it gives the appearance that light isn't being blocked (no dark spots).

I thought about cutting the grill out but I'm worried about a rock popping up and cracking my light bar. I also considered cutting the grill out and replacing it with diamond mesh.

meh i wouldn't worry about the rocks these things can take a lot of abuse plus most rocks coming at you with any kind of force would be at highway speed and likely be hitting the hood or windshield plus if it does happen just replace the lens.

another thing i learned most people wouldn't notice the lower bar about 99 percent don't hell the majority don't even notice the roof mount one :whip2: I like it hidden behind the grill but prefer using all my light not to mention I have the ability to adjust mine up and down a lot and with the grill it still mounted verses the hidden way

Makes sense. I may just have to do some cutting hahaha How did you make the light bar sit flush with the opening? What did you change?
