Makes sense. I may just have to do some cutting hahaha How did you make the light bar sit flush with the opening? What did you change?

He is selling the flush which is what i have, the hidden and one other one. All custom made brackets basically remove front cover loosen a few bolts retighten and done then mount your light and replace the cover thats it

was wondering what you thought of putting the light bar higher up in front of the radiator... Using maybe a 25" or 21.5" light bar. I was thinking some kind of riser from below rather than mounting it to the hood.

I really like your set up, but In the People's Republik of Kalifornia, we are required to have front plate and that plate would block half the light from the bar.

I guess another option would be to do 8" lights on either side of the plate holder.

I dunno. I'm pretty new and wanted to get your take...as well as the other members of this vast knowledge base.

Honestly, for your application, I would do 2 separate bars on each side of the plate, and tie them into 1 switch. I think that would look clean

Here's my version of this mod!

Instead of using a piece of angle iron across the entire bumper as my mounting point, I used the two pillars that support the bumper instead. Seemed easier, less modification, and less material to accomplish.

Bring back this old thread/post... I am planning to install this light bar for my son. I have couple questions. Did you encounter any vibration? Does the light lay on top of the cross member?

No vibration, no. If you want to make sure there isn't any vibration, just get a thicker piece of steel for the mounts.

I've done this version and it is very easy. It requires precise measurement. Definitely recommend stainless steel for the bracket, bolt, nut, and washer so it won't rust. I would also recommend thicker metal for the bracket so it won't wobble or vibrate. My bracket was a little thin causing my light bar to wobble up and down rubbing onto my bumper. The light bar doesn't lay on top of the cross arm. I ended up getting brackets from Mojaveman.

Yep, same here. If nothing else, I've considered cutting the mounts for the front license plate. Each one blocks a couple LED's, but not sure it's worth it. I'm pretty sure the grille on the 06+ is a separate piece, but the grille on the 03-05 is built into the bumper.

This is a great thread and I'm trying to figure out how to do this on my 4runner. I have an 06, so since the grill is a separate piece how will this change what I need to or can do?

Mine doesn't vibrate, it does how ever turn. I made the mistake of putting a soft material between the lightbar and the bracket and it allows the bar to rotate as my homemade bracket is smooth. I've been too lazy to pop off the bumper to fix it, especially since I'm replacing my bumper this week :banana:

Lesson: Don't add a rubber isolator between the lightbar and the bracket

Looks awesome. Did you have to fab those brackets or did you by them? also did you have to drill any holes in the bumper support or did you use factory holes?
