30 Reasons why my 2nd Gen 4Runner is better than a 1st Gen

Yeah, I realize the number of similarities between 1st and 2nd gen 4Runner, but always wondered why they each didn't have their own respective threads. I think the 1st gen is more classic than the 2nd, chronologically speaking. Oh well, both are still cool.

I like the two rolled into one thread section. With 2nd gens included, it's 15% bigger than it would be with only 1st gens!

The problem I have with a setup like that is the top doesn't go back on. Not the end of the world if it's a dedicated trail rig or you live in SoCal, but I'm loving my factory hardtop on the truck right now when it's 19° f at noon, and come the 105° summer I'm going to love the factory hardtop OFF the truck.

That is a sweet looking truck though, and I bet it's a blast to drive.

For sure. I remember riding around in my buddies old blazer after he broke the top. Bout 20 degrees, holy mother. Half doors are as close as I'll ever get to a soft top with my 3rd so all I can do is dream :moping:..
