Because none of us are doing any real building at the moment. We need something to do. Trust me, I'd rather be adding to my build thread, but I have to sell some parts first.
Yeah, I realize the number of similarities between 1st and 2nd gen 4Runner, but always wondered why they each didn't have their own respective threads. I think the 1st gen is more classic than the 2nd, chronologically speaking. Oh well, both are still cool.
Typical 1st gen 4runner threads:
> Smooth sailing in the 1st gen
> I love my 80's Toyota
> Help, I can't stop having sex with women who love my 1st gen
> Odometer just rolled 400k
> Wow, it's pretty much the most attractive suv ever, huh?
> Should I go 35's, 37's or bigger?
Typical 2nd gen 4runner threads:
> Help headgasket issues
> Why does my girlfriend say she "doesn't want to be seen in it"?
> Went to check out a '96 4runner, turns out it was a '95.....
> '93 T4R 3.0 auto motor blown, looking to trade for 80's toyota
> What did you spill in your truck today after trusting the cupholder?

The problem I have with a setup like that is the top doesn't go back on. Not the end of the world if it's a dedicated trail rig or you live in SoCal, but I'm loving my factory hardtop on the truck right now when it's 19° f at noon, and come the 105° summer I'm going to love the factory hardtop OFF the truck.
That is a sweet looking truck though, and I bet it's a blast to drive.

They don't want u either! :tsk:
All you 2nd Gen naysayers are only making me want to get another one even more, to make another beast out of the model you love to make fun of! And yeah, I still think it's the best looking 4Runner out there, stock or modified.![]()
This post doesn't even count. It's a 3rd gen. :caked:
