[NEEDS MOVED TO 4TH GEN] $300 for dealer to install spacer lift. Is it worth it?

I was just quoted $300 to have the Toyota dealership install my daystar front spacer lift. Four hours x $75 per hour for labor. I think I'm going to have them do it for a couple of reasons.

1. I have very little mechanic experience

2. The dealership said that by letting them install it, it would not effect my warranty. I know it shouldn't effect it either way unless problems are directly caused by the lift but it could save the hassle of arguing this later on.

I found it interesting that the Toyota service manager or technician that I was speaking with said that he was familiar with the lift because... he had just installed it on his Grand Cherokee...:nono:

There HAS GOT TO BE someone on the boards near you that would help, do you know anyone with minimal wrenching experience? Suspension stuff is quite easy, esp if you take your time and use logic, motors scare the sh1t outta me though...
I would say try and find someone local to help, alot of people will just want some beer/pizza for something so easy.
As far as maintaining waranty.....if you really have to have it/want it then it looks like having them do it is your only choice, I guess it depends on how cool your service manager is. I could get mine fired cause shes been so cool lol, but I would never :-D

for 2), will they put that in writing? dealers will do anything possible to weasel out of warranty repairs, seen it too many times. He'll say he never said it and you can't prove otherwise. Even in writing Toyota may not give a sh^& any deny anything they can possibly attribute to it.

other than that, $75/hr is reasonable
