30k Service Question

I'm approaching 30k rather quickly. The question is do I spend the $400 @ Toyota for their BS 30k check-up or have my local mechanic change my oil & filter, pcv valve, and lubrication. I cna change my own air and cabin filter.

I really don't need them to rotate my tires since their new, and I'm unsure of what "cleaning my brakes and rotors" accomplishes besides informing me when I am going to need new brakes.

Thoughts?

30K service also includes diff and transfer case fluid changes. My dealer did the service plus oil change and tire rotation for less than $400 which I thought was fair.

30,000

If you have 30,000 mile done at dealer you do not have to have all of the checks, etc. They are basically additional recommendations. Just have them do the things that are mandatory. And like you said you can do the filters, etc.

I just had the 30K service done at the dealer. It included changing diff and transfer case. $249.00 Kings Toyota Cincinnati, Ohio.

My 30k service was around $300 with Mobile 1 but minus the air intake filter. The service manager got mad at me for having a K&N and told me I was going to mess up the car?

Can't believe I already passed 30k and she'll be 2 years old in January.
