33s on your 4runner? pictures please

Debating getting a set of 33 x 11

want to see some pictures before i make the purchase, Also what lift you are on would be nice and how big your spacers are (if any)


What sizes do 33s come in? i might be looking for something not as wide as 11

what kind gears you have? I've had 33" with 4.10 gears, it was such a dog. if you have 3.9 gears, dont' even think about 33".

I have a bunch of pics on my build thread, I have 285/75R16s which are 32.8x11.2 inches. I could use some gears, but they are expensive. BTW I have 3" of suspension lift and 1" of body lift and I still had to trim a wee bit off my front bumper.

Stevers, I agree with TC4Rnr. If you have 4.10s, then it's at least livable. My 96 had 4.10's and 285/75R16's. It was slow, but not horrible.

Also, what kind of wheels are you using? Factory? Aftermarket? That will make it easier to decide on a size and load range.

sorry, I pretty much no nothing about my 4runner. Its my winter car, I just need some new tires and want something alittle more aggressive then the 265/75s on it now, But i also dont want to get too big of a tire in which it just looks stupid and like i dont have a lift anymore


also trying to avoid getting spacers

Hubcentric wheel spacers are gonna be more than that probably.

Here is mine when I had it lifted. Its a 2002 2wd. I had 2.5 spacers and ome 891 in the rear. Didnt rub the front, just had to trim the inner mudflap piece. Tires were 295/70/17 terra grapplers.

that looks really good, how wide are 295/70? and did u have to run those spacers in the rear or did you just so it pushed out more?

do u possibly have a shot of how far the tires push out?

No spacers were used, just 17x9 atx mojaves. Compared to the wheels I have on now it brought the tires in and helped keep the 4runner clean.

295mm wide.....

295 = width

70 = aspect ratio... basically how tall they are relative to the tire size.

r = radial

16 = rim size.

For example, my tires are 255/85/r16. They are tall (85) and skinny (255) radial tires on 16" rims.

I think you should browse through the 3rd gen picture thread and find a look you like, then emulate that in your rig.

Sound advice. Assemble a goal, then modify.

As far as a no hassle option... 265/75/r16 will get you most places 33s will get you... no spacers, no rubbing, no worries. I wheeled all over the country on 265s before I got my tall skinnys.

An OME or similar lift without BL looks very clean on 265/75/r16s (32s).

This is mine on 2.5" Day Star lift on 33's no rubbing or any issues not sure what gears I have but its a little slow, but when I put on the ECT it runs fine lol.
