33x12.50x18 w/out body mount chop on 2011?

Title says it all. Have looked at numerous threads over the last couple of days and need to make a decision on what tire / wheel combo to go with. I have seen some really cool setups that state they are running this size, but nothing on the extent of the lift or trimming. From what I understand we can run a 33 inch tire, but the max width is about 11.5" with a 3" lift unless you trim plastic and cut the body mounts? Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. I don't mind the plastic trimming, but I absolutely don't want to cut the body mounts. I haven't decided on a lift yet either. I have considered the Readylift SST 3/2 to keep cost down, but I'm also looking at a toytec boss setup. Wheels / tires are gonna run close to $2K. I like the XD 820 Grenade in satin. Probably going to get the Toyo Open County MT or the Nitto Trail Grappler. I found the truck below which is identical to mine which states they are running 33x12.50x18 and I love the look of it. They may be a forum member, but I have no idea. Anyone with info on this size tire and fitment would be much appreciated.

Depending on the offset, you can likely get them to not rub aggressive positive caster to move the wheel forward (which will be made more difficult with the lift).

My 4runner came with dealer-installed 20x10s with 33x12x20 Mud Claws. The wheels had 4.5" of backspacing and the tires had very squared-off shoulders. After aggressively trimming the bumper forward of the wheels, they rubbed modestly on the BM (could turn and drive at full lock, but it would sound like casually rolling an R with your tongue), but we never had it adjusted to max caster before selling the wheels.

I think if you got 5" of BS and less aggressively-shaped tires, you would probably be able to make it work for street driving.

With a 12.5" wide tire and a 5" back spacing you may very well run the risk of the inside of the tire making contact with the UCA. Something to keep an eye out for.
OP; When it comes to fitting larger tires and installing lifts, everything effects something else. Unfortunately 9.9 times out of 10 this is going to result in some part of the fender well being chopped back to make room, and almost invariably you will have to chop back the body mount, unless you want horid wheel contact every time you drive over a curb or pull in to or out of a parking space. You can elect not to do it, but you will likely be hating life. Just my 2c as someone who can't tolerate wheel contact with any part of my vehicle.

I am curious how much the 18" diameter will help? I probably assumed that more than I should have!
