3D Printed Fog Light Filler Plate for Rigid D2

I do want to look in to making something similar for the '06-'09 variant. I've not seen that fog light assembly in person yet, but from pictures it appears that it would only require a fairly simple addition.

It'll probably be November or December before I have time to design anything, but when that time comes I'll reach out on here and see if anyone would be willing to let me borrow their fog light so I can take measurements.

I have the stock fog lights sitting in a box. Let me know when you need them and I’ll send them on over. I really want these for the 06-09. I already have some rigids mounted in mine but they use a different vehicles bracket and aren’t that secure.

There is room for vertical adjustability of the LED pod itself. I didn't really find any adjustments to be necessary with my driving-pattern D2 pods since the beam pattern is reasonably wide and not focused.

I'm sure I could figure out a way to integrate a backup camera into the license plate light location, definitely something I'll give some thought to. A lot of 4R owners have cameras these days. Thanks for the suggestion!

I ordered the fog mounts for my 04, along with the Baja Designs Squadron SAE, White (257805). The 3D print is high quality. I just need to find the time to spray paint them and install.

Yeah, once I get these dialed in, I'll see if I can't make an extended version.

The fog replacements look great! Any update on creating the extended version to replace both lights? I'm looking at upgrading to 06-09 headlights. I hate the stock marker/turns and want to get rid of them. There aren't any clean options right now though.

Also, an idea on LEDs that will work that are a little less expensive?

I’m suprised there’s not more options available for modifications.

Some even want to replace both the fog light and the turn signal locations with rigid or Baja lights such as in this thread here

It would be awesome if there was a bezel that could be made for both sides.

Back again with some news relating to this project that some might find useful:

1.)
The original LED Fog Light Mounts for the 2003-2005 4Runner have been revised with a new Main Housing to improve adjustability and to add compatibility for more LED pods. All future orders of this product will include the revised components!

If you've previously ordered the Solidshift LED Fog Light Mounts for your Gen4 T4R and you're not satisfied with the vertical aiming of your LED pods, please email [email protected] with your order number and you'll be sent a new pair of complimentary Main Housings and Faceplates.

The original version of these mounts were designed over 5 years ago when Rigid D-Series lights were still dominant in the market and many other lighting brands were relatively unknown. Times have changed - so this product needed a change, too!
