3rd gen Aftermarket wheel thread

I am looking at two different options right now. One is a smart, sensible option, while the other is sleek and sexy version that costs almost twice as much. The cost is a consideration as always as I am pricing 5 wheels and money saved could go somewhere else like skids, a winch, Yada yada ya.

If the SCS ever went on sale, it would make the decision tougher for sure. As it stands, Discount Tire will price match JC Whitney that after their price, and 10% off brings 5 Pro Comp wheels to $423.63. That's hard to beat for practicality.

Wasnt sure if I should post this here or in the tundra brake thread, but 2 questions: Will 16×7 rims from a 2015 tacoma fit on a 3rd gen (without spacers or rubbing) and clear 231mm tundra calipers? And will the tacoma rims fit the same tires as the dual-triple 3rd gen wheels (265-75-r16s in this case)?

• Low profile center hubs from Wheeler's Off-Road (I didn't like the Pro Comp center hubs)
• Gorilla 21138ETBC lugs purchased from Wheeler's Off-Road
• Technically these wheels do not need spacers, unless you're going for the wider look. I took off my SpiderTrax and installed without 'em.
• I have no rubbing with my 3" Toytec lift.
• They will accommodate the 231mm Tundra brake upgrade (I have not verified personally but [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] said so in his awesome writeup).

Here they are on my '97 SR5! LOVE these wheels.

So I'm getting ready to pick up some walker evans 501 legend wheels 16x8 with 4.5 BS and +0.1 offset. Going to run 285/75/16 and install Total Chaos UCAs. Will I need any spacers?

Ray 10s. I ordered these while I had the opportunity when the SR8 didn't come in stock, total gamble and I LOVE them in person. Never been a big fan of pictures, but there a very "see them in person" wheel in my opinion. First time I've ever purchased a non-spoke style wheel and I will be keeping these for awhile.

Looking at some recent posts, I thought maybe this would be a good idea. There are plenty of us who run aftermarket wheels, and there are also plenty of guys who are curious as to what certain wheels look like. There are also a lot of fitment questions. My thought was to have anyone running aftermarket throw up some pics, info on the wheels, where they got them, and cost if they want. This may help cut down on the "anyone post up pics with..." threads. Also can be an easy way to find info on a certain wheel they like. Sometimes the generic stock photos on websites don't give a good picture of what the wheel will look like. Let me know what you guys think.

Installed with 285 75 16s

Tires have plenty of room between them and the UCAs. No rubbing either. These will fit the 231mm Tundra brake upgrade.

did you get new lug nuts with those rims, or use the existing lugs?

Thanks. I do have 231 tundra brakes, but I am running wheel spacers also. So not real sure if they fit with just the wheels.

Also, I haven't seen these wheels online in quite a while, so I'm not sure if they are still available.
