3rd gen body lift or sus lift ??

I was looking at 4crawler and I wanted a mild 2 inch lift no higher and I dont want to do anything major to my vehicle. I saw that I might have to do some adjustments? Whats the easiest way to just lift and be done with a moderate price range.

If you do a 2" body lift, 4crawler will have everything you need. In short, you'll have the pucks that lift the body from the frame and some extension pieces for your bumper, steering, etc.

This will probably be the most cost efficient lift you can get.

Do a real lift since the body lift isn't doing anything for your true clearence and just a body lift looks like crap IMO w/o a little suspension lift.

Plus I see you have an '01 which sit lower than previous year's Runners so you'd even benefit from the inexpensive '99 coils which will give you back an inch of clearence and it'll cost a little over $200 for the set. I got new OEM coils and shocks for about $380 shipped.

Yup. From a spacer-type lift, your choices are Revtek, Daystar, Cornfed and Toytech. Revtek, IIRC, is the most expensive but has all the pieces including a diff drop. Daystar and Cornfed are about the same and Toytech is the cheapest.

Revtek could be found at performanceproducts.com and other 4x4 places. I know sonoransteel has daystar and cornfed and Toytech has its own site. Don't know it off the top of my head but google it and you should be good.

When I say everything, all the extended studs, top-out plates and diff-drop where other kits are more piecemeal.

I had a Revtek lift and didn't mind it. After reading more about suspensions, I swapped it out when a good deal came out for some coilovers. Overall, it was what it is, a cheap suspension lift that works. The coilovers are much more responsive...

Two inches in tires equals one inch in lift. Then again, you need a pretty high lift to go plus 2 in tire size...

Im going to reply to my old post and say that my newbish self really didnt do enough research then. but I didnt make any impulse buys on lifts either.

I did use spacers up front but went with coils and hd shocks for rear. and I would definitely go for a full system with coilovers up front coils and shocks rear.

BL is coming soon so that I can clear some more room for my 33s.

Sus lift first then bl later imo.

4crawler.com has 1-3inchs for our 3rd gens. Im either going to do a 1 or 2 inch.. no more then 2 though.

then im gonna redo my front and top out space the front as well so I can have a good even 5 inchs of lift total
