Hey guys I just pickup a scangauge a couple days ago but for some reason the only color that it will light up is green. I have tried manually changing the color but one the green works. Has anyone else had that problem?

you suck, lol , been trying to find one locally here for about a week now, new truck so i got to get a scanguage now to keep an eye on things....i guess i should be ebay shopping...

Just keep looking on eBay. Used ones pop up there all the time. I just lucked out and found one with a buy now option

haha have been, you must have a flag on that or something i've been checking almost everyday and the ones i've been finding for what i want to pay for a used one have been abused or just don't look clean, haha, anyways congrats and don't let my bitterness ruin your joy, haha, i think i'm just gonna run out and sort one out today for full price as i got a cel going on and am having a hard time tracking down the cause.

Just use SearchTempest and search all over the US for scangauges. That's how I came across mine for a really good price.

Ok guys I'm resurrecting this post. I just received my SCII and drive a 2000 Limited 4x4.
When doing the initial setup, you have to enter the size of the fuel tank... do you put 18.5 gallons?
Here is why I'm asking: We always read that up to 2 gallons won't be usable due to the design of the tank or whatever.
Also, after that you have to fulfil your tank, and fulfil again when you have only 1/4 left, etc. But knowing that the gas gauge on the truck is not accurate at all, isn't this going to mess up the accuracy of your SCII?
Do you do the 1/4 fill up following the gas gauge reading or following your own calculation of what's left in the tank based on experience?

I put 18 in. I don't remember it allowing 1/2 gallon increments plus it gives a cushion. Set your trip odometer and fill up after 250 miles (depending on mpg). Your first few fill ups should be off your tracking until its calibrated. My fuel gauge was out for a while so at 250 miles I usually had 1/4 tank left. For what it's worth, 5 months in and the scan gauge gallons to empty reading is usually correct within 1-3 tenths of a gallon. It was damn accurate after the 3rd fill up. Just make sure you fill up on level surface and don't top off.
I've never pushed it to the limit to know about the 2 gallon unusable thing but I think it's always good to fill up before you get that low.

At the 1/4 tank mark I've been steady at 12 gallons till the pump clicks off on slowest fill setting.

I just put the codes in for the Trans temp. Awesome didn't know that was an option. I got 62, does that seem right? It's about 65 degrees outside and I just started it up to enter the codes.
My go-to gauges I look at when driving are:
RPM
MPG
TrA (the custome Xgauge)
WT (for oil?)
What are some other ones people like to look at?
