They look bigger for some reason. Maybe I'm loosing it?
I think they look bigger because the offset of the 4th gen rims is greater than the offset on the stock 3rd gen rims. Not sure if greater is the right term, but they sit further in toward the center of the vehicle.

My runner
this pic was taken a lil over a year ago. its a 99 sport, 3.5'' suspension lift, 2'' body lift with 35'' mud grapplers on 17x9 helo maxx6 wheels. 1.25'' wheel spacers 5% on top of 20% tint all the way around, with 35% on the windshield. yakima racks, custom basket rack. 8k HIDs in headlights and fog lights. black housing headlights, smoked tail lights.and a few other goodies
downsized my 35s to 33's because of horrible gas mileage so i went with 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers and 18x9 XD Rockstars
Then i all of a sudden got brave and decided to Plastidip my entire 4runner! turned out AWESOME I LOVE IT. took me about 8 cans which was right around 50$. havent had any problems with it so far.
Now i was searchin craigslist one day and i found a awesome deal on some brand new never been mounted super swamnper irok raidals. 35-14.50-18. guy wanted 950$ for the tires. i sold my trail graps for 600$ and found a guy that wanted my sport hood he gave me 300$ and his normal hood. so pretty much all i paid was 50$ out of my pocket plus about 80$ to get them mounted and balanced.
Now i ordered some custom TRD stickers from a local shop. i went with red and satin black. and also got some extra red vinyl and wrapped my stars on my center caps.

Sooooo....
So... I got to visit Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park... These are both in my backyard...
Mostly pavement exploring, with as much dirt as I could fit in. Much of the side roads were closed, so I didn't get too much action in, or good 4Runner shots, like I normally do. But I did get some...
here is one, I'll post more in my photolog over the next few days - I took almost 1,000 photos!
600 miles, crossed over 107K miles on the odo, MPG there was 21.8 MPG (going up, constant gas), coming back (also lots of gas, but much coasting too) was 23.8 MPG! A record for me.
2 grizzlies, two elk, two moose, buncha bison, buncha bighorn sheep, and miscellaneous birds. Too many people.
Grand Tetons:

A few from today..
by the way, is it me or did photobucket's image quality get worse?
EDIT: confirmed, after comparing photbucket upload to the original i have on my computer, the images are 2 different quality levels. the difference is quite substantial now, i dont remember photobucket being this bad..
time to find a new photo host?

Those are sick! I use Flickr for high quality images.A few from today..
