Heading to Utah this week, so went to one of the local hiking trailheads and then a side trail near one of the four wheel drive trailheads that was closed.

Course, I want to tune the truck before I go out, the hardware store doesn't have any MAF cleaner and I don't want to use carb cleaner so just skip it. Head out, get about 150 miles away and all my engine lights come on. I'm like wtf is going on, drive back home. The issue is the MAF sensor needs cleaning... talk about ironic. Get to restart my trip tomorrow. Lesson learned on what engine light + VSC OFF + VSC TRAC lights mean and that I don't need to go home to fix it.

Navaho Lake State Park

Just picked up this 5 speed and transfer case from a local 2nd gen partout for $80, knowing the bellhousings are the same as ours. Got it home to realize it's passenger side drop :doh:

It's an old one but it's one of my favorites. This was in January of 2012. We were getting our ass kicked by a storm so the Captain told everyone to stay home for the day.... Yeah right... Me and my Jeep buddy went wheeling.

There was a bunch of blow downs in the road and we just winched them out of the road, so we were the first ones up the mountain. There was about 4 feet of fresh snow. I had to make room for my Jeep buddy to come down the road so I just threw it in reverse and plowed in. One of my favorite work days yet.

I think the only time I like driving in snow is when I'm on fresh powder. Even better, you were getting paid to be out there. :smow::surfer:
