I live @ 5,500 feet and most of my off road time is spent at elevations above 8,000 feet. Like this... at a trailhead at 11,600 in my '97. There just happened to be a 5th gen there, too. You can definitely feel the power loss as you climb in elevation.

sorry no wheeling pics yet! she's still under construction. i should have her sitting on rubber by the end of this weekend. i just picked up my 30 spline Longfields so i can start putting the front axle together.

Picture taken in Marcona, Peru (province of Ica, about 45 min drive south of Nazca........... yes the Nazca Lines.......). Anyway, here I was washing my 2000 SURF, SSR-G. I was visiting my future in laws. Goddamn I miss this truck!

Picture taken near Pisco, Peru. Here I had my 1997 SURF SSR-X Limited. I had no idea I was on that cliff until I took this pic. Here we were overlooking the "Candelabro" (not shown here, but since been destroyed by the 2008 Earthquake).

Picture taken in Lima, Peru in front of where I used to live. Had the rear tire cover custom made, like it??

I finally completed waded through the hours of video I captured at the 2013 Toyota Jamboree, and its up on youtube now! At the time I still had my 97 2WD with a locker and it performed outstandingly.

i'm running front and rear taco width Rock Assault axles with 5.29's and detroits. my plan was to go with Ruff Stuff or Diamond but my buddy wrecked his taco and ended up building an '85 toy so we swapped his brand new housings for my spare dual case setup i had in my shop. after i saw Addicted Offroads runner build with the Trail-gear kit i fell in love with it being that my wife had the same runner. i inherited it after i bought her a sequoia. those are Trail-gears 5" springs but i also got a set of 4" leafs too(planning on running 39.5's) cuz it's gonna be waaaay too tall with the 5" springs!!! i wanted to link it but don't have the time to dial it in(hunting season getting close) and i wanna get it on the road before the end of august.

Which one is that - front or back? I don't remember the electrical connector being that difficult to remove. Regardless, there's a clip on the female side that you press and the male side will slide out.
