[MENTION=81615]mien4x4[/MENTION] is that last pic of the "gate keep" down by the dam? i heard they "paved" it over, it used to be one of the harder sections to get through, as it was kinda a filter for the entrances to the trail from the south...

im not sure were thas at maybe your talking about another trail but this is eagle lakes/fordyce trail and that part there is the bypass of the Drive line Hill I went up it but to scared to come down it lol

Which one is that - front or back? I don't remember the electrical connector being that difficult to remove. Regardless, there's a clip on the female side that you press and the male side will slide out.

The front one, located and attached to the top of the manual transmission. Totally out of sight... I don't want to take apart the stick and boot to get access from inside the cabin...that would be the ultimate option.

I know I have to use a screw driver on the female part but I don't know how to position it... Can't see the damn connector I can only feel it with my fingers.

i was talking about the rubicon, but now that i look at the rest of the pics yeah thats fordyce... oh well they are all close to eachother and all the same terrain.. your rig looks good as always

Oh, mine is automatic. Can you squeeze a mirror up there so you can see where to go or how to position yourself? Or even a camera phone to get an idea of the layout?

i havent been down there in several years, and last time i was in from the south entrance it was still difficult... i had heard from a lot of people that they really opened up the gate keeper to allow more people in, cause a lot of people complained that they really damaged their vehicles going through there and or it prevented them from coming in... i heard that they basically "paved" it but i figured that they had just ripped out a few of the big rocks... dont know why cause back in 04 i was able to make it through there in a stock 85 pickup with just 31" tires, no lockers, no lift, no armor nothing and i didnt touch at all

I finally got to get the tires a little dirty From what we drove on, the DR coilovers are awesome! I can't wait to really dive into some trails!!

BTW Sorry for the editing, i took the pics on my iPhone and wasn't happy with the originals. I also feel weird taking pictures of my truck in front of my friends. I told them ahead of time that i'm a little obsessed haha

Thanks! 3" OME lift and 2" body lift. 285 toyo open country all terrain tires.
