Nope, both have been removed. The front gains so much more uptravel with the sway bar removed.
I have extended links on the rear but I should definitely disconnect one side of the front next time I go out. I did a fairly nerve racking wheel lift yesterday and the extra bit of flex would have been nice.

Ha ha just take the front and rear off the next time you go and see how you like the difference. Wheeling is a completely different experience.

No 'Runner shots.

Sorry. no 'Runner shots today. Only a 'Wind Scorpion' found in my bed last night.

I bet it is. I just don't like the body roll that it gets on the road with no sway bars. I think it's really dangerous personally. I suppose I could take them off whenever I go wheeling but it's kind of a hassle.

I'd like to try disconnecting one end of the front next time I go out. That way I can zip tie it out of the way and the attached side will prevent it from flopping down.
Has anyone run this setup?

Theoretically that would work. Body roll isn't good but isn't bad either. As long as you don't try to drive like a a*shole then it is not a concern. I have gone around corners scaring the sh*t out of other people cause I can lift tire lol

I would try running it that way honestly. It is the easiest way to find out if it works. And then you can do this:

I don't drive fast by any means, but it's when it comes time to make an evasive maneuver that concerns me.

I would love to be able to stuff a front wheel like that though!

Does your front wheel rub at all on the pinchweld in that position or at full lock? I'm thinking of going and having another alignment done to get my caster pushed forward some.

Edit: I just read through your build and saw you had the LR arms and your caster is at about +3. I'm hoping they can push mine forward a good ways. The shop I take it too doesn't give back numbers unfortunately.

well... after that mud bath a couple pages ago and a second car wash i have about 80% of the mud gone! So yeah it should stay clean for a couple more hours haha

Finally got er from pops.

Got this 1999 Limited gem from parents with 110K on odo. Been asking for them to sell it to me for many years, parents found a new rig and I finally got them to give me a chance to get it. Pretty dang clean. It is the wife/kid mobile for a couple years so I'm going to have to be nice to it when up on some mining trails looking for camping spots but I can wait. Had a tacoma in past with coilovers, etc I installed so I know what I want/need. I "had" to use the locker first trip up a trail to Chinns Lake up by Idaho Springs; I had to make sure everything works right?

Also, I know...I hate the running boards also. My thought is that they might be pretty useful for getting infant (not even here yet) into car seat 4 wifey and probably me too (our first). You think I can sneak those things off without getting in trouble or maybe wait till kid gets a little easier to "install", haaaa. My buddy in lifted FJ was watching me hover rocks near em on the chinns lake trail, I kinda wanted to mess them up so I had to remove them.

Got that bumper mounted up on my 2002. The guy that built it didn't do a very good job. It's not as symmetrical as I would like it. I made it work and I think it looks pretty good. For now it provides tons more protection over the factory bumper. Tons of deer on the island.
