I've lurked on here for a while but just finally registered. This is my 2nd 4runner(first was an 85 sr5) and 3rd Toyota(78 fj40). No cool wheeling pics of it yet, but I've taken it out to do some exploring. I hate the running boards, but can't take them off until I upgrade to rock sliders as I have a bad left ankle/foot and need them to help me climb in comfortably.

And most recent. A friend of mine built some retrofit HID headlights and HID fogs that I got ahold of after he sold his 3rd gen.

At the water tower, where there are two lines to get on top of the ledge closest to the water tower. There's one that's next to the bushes and then there's the one next to it where you put your driver front tire on the ledge and crawl up.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you could get that gas skid on and I could go show you!

I know exactly where that is. 3rd picture down in your original post, just out of frame to the right is where that line is, if I'm looking at it right. That's a fun spot.

And soon enough! Any7 says my skid should be shipping out on Monday :thumb3:

Yepp! That's the spot. Best part is my 4Runner honestly walked up it right before he tried it haha

Lockers are the shit! One day I can hopefully afford a couple. Connors rig took it like a champ, definitely made mine look like the stocker that it truly is.

Yeah lesson learned, first CV I've ever broken. Don't think it'll be the last either. NAPA replaces them free so I guess there's no harm in it.

Here's a couple from me:

Few seconds before I tried it. No sway bar and that locker made his rig climb up like it wasn't even there.

Pop. I tried to take a line further to the right and it was turning to hard left when it broke.

Dug up this pic from my road trip last year. As much as it sucked waking up to 5 degree weather in northern Montana, I wish I could live out of my 4Runner again for another month and see some more of this awesome country.

Been inactive for a while, had a lot on my to-do list for this bad boy, so get ready for a photo-bomb.

Fishing trip couple weeks back, definitely need to go there again!
Installed my power inverter before we left:



On our way there, and some trail pics:












Dragged my bumper and tow hitch too much after this trips so I decided its time for an armored bumper. I really liked Savage Offroads design, so I had a friend follow their design. As soon as my tire carrier parts come in from EMS Offroad, we'll finish the tire carrier on it:






And browsed Toytec one day, and came across these 6" Blitzpro LED lights bars for 30 bucks a pop, and 800 lumens each. Ordered 3, have two in front, and one for reverse:




And thats pretty much all caught up so far, lol. I always say I'm "done" modifying the truck, but its never ending.

Still out of work... but feeling much better! Gained about 20lbs, some of it is muscle... some of it is Reese Peanut Butter Cups! lol!
