My new-to-me 4Runner

Hey all,

I'm new here. About two months ago I bought this 2000 SR5, V6 with manual transmission. It has 226,000 miles but still runs like a champ.

Went wheelin' at Walker again today with some 40 and 80 guys. Good time. No pictures of my rig yet and just crappy ones of theirs. Found this sitting on a stump on one of trails. No idea how the hell someone did that.

Found this sitting on a stump on one of trails. No idea how the hell someone did that.

It was likely made that way. It's called a twisted clevis shackle. Sold at Tractor Supply Co. and other such stores.

No kidding. Everyone, including myself was convinced it was a bent. I've never seen one like that.

i see im not the only one who like to use those for lights... how do you like the lights up there?, does your hood hit the lights when opening?, mine does, but im sure its because of the depth of my PIAA 70s, i think those IPFs are shallow enough it should be fine.

it was a little awkward at first but i got used to it after a couple days of driving. they don't get in the way of the hood when opening/closing. the IPF's actually aren't shallow at all and are pretty bulky. the placement of the mounting portion being so far back allowed them to clear.
